A recently modified hotel, retaining its traditional, grand style in a relaxed atmosphere. Large reception rooms and clean airy bedroom and bathroom and friendly helpful staff. A good selection of generous breakfast courses on the 1st floor restaurant. A good local traditional Tyrollean restaurant on the doorstep, with others close by. conveniently located within 10 minute walk from the main railway station which also including underground U1, U3 lines plus trams and local buses. We are already looking forward to returning.

The hotel was undergoing a much needed renovation so there was some inconvenience. The rooms were old but fairly clean and would have been comfortable enough except the bed pillows were really thin. When we asked for another one, we were told we couldn't have one. There was a list of the Christmas markets and a local map so we could locate them available in the lobby and we appreciated that. Most of the nearby restaurants were fast food establishments in the train station and that got old very fast. I might stay there again.

We found the hotel very conveniently located, being not far from the main railway station and not far from the D-line tram which goes straight to the city centre. The hotel appears to be under renovation which we were not aware of at the time of booking but this did not make any practical difference to the enjoyment of our stay. The room was exceptionally clean. It was rather small. Some pictures on the wall would have perhaps made it more welcoming. We ordered an additional duvet which was gladly provided. Being winter, it was good to see that the radiator was easy to operate and provided adequate heat. It is a quiet hotel. Personnel on reception in the mornings and in the evenings were helpful. The breakfast was very good and we enjoyed the variety of food on offer. Overall, we found that the hotel met our needs for a long weekend and it was good value for money compared to similar hotels in the area.
