4/5 - Good
Time to explore would be nice, it’s a safe place and people are extra friendly. It’s far more laid back than Say Vietnam and Cambodia
While Chinatown isn't home to many top sights, Ban Anou Night Market and Mekong Riverside Park are some notable places to visit nearby.

very nice small city , people very kind everywhere , good beer wine eating and cheap , many nice place to visit
Great for hang out and leisure
I enjoyed the shopping and the food.
Really chilled capital with wonderfully friendly people and good food. Probably a bit quiet if you're looking for a party though.
Vientiane was lovely! There is lots to do there but it isn’t a destination for gap year travellers ! There was enough to do around the hotel though :) There is also really easy access to transport to Vang Vieng and Luang Prabang!
