Nice place but had not been cleaned.

Got to the house and it had not been cleaned yet. I ended up having to go buy cleaning supplies and cleaned and washed all the towels and sheets myself. We were compensated though it took forever to be able to actually talk to a person about what happened.

Bathroom blues.

The site was very nice. Beautiful scenery. Nice location. Nice Jacuzzi. Plenty of space and sleep options for our group. The entertainment items in the garage were unusable. One of the dining room chairs was loose or perhaps ready to break. I found two washcloths in the trundle bed. Kinda gross. And the cover had dirt, maybe scat, hair and maybe crumbs on it. The worst was the main bathroom. We were informed that the toilet leaked but a maintenance person came prior to our visit. The water to it was off when we arrived. We turned it on. It leaked. This became a HUGE issue. Those in the bunk bed room listened to the water refill every 30 seconds. I was very tired and fell right to sleep while people were still preparing for bed. That was just before 11 pm. At 2am I woke to go to the bathroom. When I got back into bed I also began hearing the constant water on and off. I decided to just turn it off. Then I laid awake for the rest of the night worrying that someone will need the bathroom and won't be able to use it. At 5am I just got up and started my morning activities and packing up, preparing breakfast, etc. With only 3 hours sleep I had to attend my daughter's masters graduation, drive home, although my daughter took over because I was so tired. I had to shop for my daughter's evening bonfire, wiener roast and smores, build the fire, set out games, activities, food and drinks. Then prepare to teach and preach the next day. I rented the place to rest.

Nice Getaway

Beautiful property inside and out. I loved it not being far from Boone since I was visiting my son at college. Plenty of space and amenities. Would definitely go back!
