Great quite place in the mountains.

Boone Vacation
We thoroughly enjoyed all the amenities at the property and the view. The home was cozy and had all the comforts. Martha is a very pleasant host. She was always available by phone or text and very quickly responded to our needs and questions. The 3 bedroom home was perfect for our party of five. It made our vacation very enjoyable and memorable.

Grandson's 4th Birthday Celebration Weekend
We rented the bungalow for my grandson's 4th birthday celebration that was held at the pool in Boone. Martha's place was clean, cozy and hospitable. I especially enjoyed all the cooking in the beautiful kitchen. It was supplied with everything even paper towels and dishwashing detergent. I had brought my own just in case. The mooing cows added the mountain country touch. I also loved the outdoor lights in the back yard. Overall, it was perfect for my family to stay through the weekend.

Warm and Cozy in High Country
Rosa’s Roost was clean, quaint, well equipped and accommodating for our family. Came to visit our son in Boone for his birthday and his fiancé flew in from Florida. We enjoyed the snow and cold weather from the warm and cozy home. Cooked a delicious meal in the well appointed kitchen. Played games, washed laundry, enjoyed our time together as family. The cows mooing were a treat as well as the roosters crowing. A lot of farm equipment and items around but it didn’t take away from simple beauty. We had everything we needed. I did have to buy a cheese grater for our dinner but that was the only thing I couldn’t find that we needed. Some general spices like garlic & onion powder, Italian seasoning would be a nice touch with the salt and pepper also, but no worries as I did purchase some spices. The electric heaters kept us very warm and all the extra blankets and linens are well provided and great. It smelled like my granny’s home (who recently passed in Sept of 2023) combination of Folgers coffee, what she cleans with and the laundry soaps. It brought a smile to my face and heart and felt as though she was with me this weekend. I didn’t want to leave and could have stayed longer. It was a great place to see our son and his newly engaged fiancé and celebrate his birthday and the beginning of their new life together. Thank you Martha. Your love and thoughtfulness are evident. May you continue to be blessed in your life.

My wife and I came with another couple and absolutely loved this place! The pictures don’t do it justice. It is so beautiful and made me feel right at home! The host was amazing and easy to get in touch with. We will definitely stay here again!

Mountain fun
Marta was a wonderful and communicative host. She responded quickly to all questions. The house was clean and cozy. It was a bit farther from attractions than I had anticipated and the neighboring cows were quite active with their mooing at night but my kiddos loved seeing them in the morning. Overall, we enjoyed a wonderful stay in the mountains.

Great mountain getaway
We stayed here to visit our son at App State and see a football game. The property exceeded our expectations. Such a cute house that is completely remodeled; modern but cozy. Had everything we needed. No steep driveway or scary roads to drive to get there was a huge bonus! Would stay again, highly recommend!

Weekend visit
We loved our stay at this property. It was a perfect location for our visit our son at App State and enjoying Boone and Blowing Rock. The home was immaculate with plenty room for the 3 of us to visit and relax. We had everything we needed in the kitchen to cook breakfast and dinner. The fire pit was great and we even used the metal marshmallow roasters to make s’mores. Beds were very comfortable, great wifi connection and plenty of TV viewing options. We will definitely be back to stay for our next visit.

Great get away
This place is perfect for a quick get away. We stayed for Parent's Weekend and had easy access to the App State campus. It's a nice, quiet place to stay, and the firepit is a great place for stargazing! We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Boone weekend!
My fiancé and I stayed here with my parents for an App state game and it was perfect. I wish we could have spent more time at the house because it was so cozy and peaceful. Stocked with everything you need and in such a great location. We would definitely book again!

Just perfect for our needs
Clean and well furnished house. We stayed just the weekend for a family wedding celebration in the nearby Red Barn in Valle Cruis. It is a charming house with 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. There were 4 of us and it suited our needs perfectly. Great mattresses and bedding, towels, and games. 4 TVs! - which we didn’t use. Beautiful area with a farm nearby - heard rooster, but it didn’t bother us.

Loved the rental, cute decor, all the amenities we needed, spacious and clean. Only challenge was lack of a/c during a warm spell in July which is probably atypical for the area. Box fans helped greatly and it cooled by later evening. It was convenient for our trip to Tweetsie Railroad.

Wonderful stay!
We enjoyed our stay so much! The two little ones loved rolling down the gently sloping yard and playing in the creek. We enjoyed relaxing on the porch and by the fire pit. The house had plenty of space and was so charming, comfortable and clean. Great setup in the kitchen as well! We were surrounded by lovely scenery and sounds of nature and the weather couldn’t have been nicer. We did a lot of exploring in the surrounding area including Grandfather Mtn, Tweetsie Railroad and Boone. Martha was a welcoming and wonderful host and we had a great time. Would absolutely come back!

Charming home in great location!
Martha was so responsive and is a fantastic host. Her home is updated and has great character. The kitchen had everything for us to eat in if we wanted to cook and the layout of the home allowed for good family time. Up on the Mountain
We had a great 4-day stay! The pictures on the site were accurate. Our visit was quiet and scenic which was exactly what we were looking for when we booked the house. Close to Boone, Valle Crucis, Banner Elk, Blowing Rock and the parkway. Our host was great...easy to communicate with as well as prompt to reply. The house was very clean and well appointed.

Cozy home in a peaceful setting
This was the best stop on our NC roadtrip! The home was one of the cleanest I have seen. It was very welcoming from the moment I stepped in the door. Beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed the fire pit and the little stream on the side of the property was flowing fast from all the rain. It was so relaxing to listen to. Martha was an excellent host (and has a great name)! I appreciated the information sheet left on the kitchen counter. I truly loved this cute little house and hope to visit again!

Peaceful!
We had a great time at this little cottage! We came back to Boone, after many years of being away, for my husband who spent every summer in the area until he was in middle school. We went back down memory lane with him. We enjoyed being outside, sitting by the fire pit, and just relaxing. Martha was a great host! I saw in one review where the person complained of neighbors. Yes, you do have neighbors but they didn’t bother us and were very friendly as they drove by minding their own business. I personally didn’t find that to be an issue. We would stay again if ever back in the area!

Wonderful experience. Would definitely stay here again. I would recommend bringing trash bags, dishwasher detergent, paper towels, tp, zippies, etc from home(I personally don’t like buying these things at my destination, especially when I only need small qtys) and asking about fire starter & wood supplies before you get there. Also be sure to watch your speed bc there is a school on the road. Really beautiful, nice neighbors, highly recommend :)

Perfect Family Vacation
My family had an amazing time! The house was spacious and our family of 6 felt very comfortable. We were close to several snowy destinations where we took our kids snow tubing. Highly recommend and would stay again!

Quiet Retreat
My wife and I came to stay for the weekend for some rest and relaxation. The house was nicely remodeled. Even though it was a rainy trip, we had a great time. The host was great, ensured we had everything we needed, and was very responsive!

Everything about the house was first rate. The only issue (minor for us because we didn’t spend much time at house)was views from house are not the best. Like I stated would definitely recommend especially as a basecamp

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful little home in the Villas! We had a very memorable weekend with our family, the beauty of the outdoors & friends! Martha was absolutely terrifc! Thank you for your understanding of the mass of ladies when we did hair & makeup for our son & daughter-n-laws vow renewal ceremony a the Daniel Boone Native Gardens! I only feel bad that I didn't communicate to her what we were doing on that morning. She was so very kind & couldn't of asked for a better place to stay! Wished we could have stayed longer!

Perfect place to stay while visiting AppState
We booked this house for the weekend while touring Appalachian State with our oldest. We are a family of 5 with children and all 3 (ages 17, 14, and 7) loved the house. The house was super clean and features pretty farmhouse decor. Our youngest loved rolling down the hill in the front yard and we all loved the little spring on the side of the property and took advantage of the fire pit. It is located in a quiet area with and is only 10 or so minutes to campus. The hosts clearly care about the comfort of your stay there and are easy to contact if necessary. We would definitely stay here again!

Family getaway
My husband and I planned a quick family getaway with our infant, 22 mo old and my parents. Our main event was to take the kids to Tweetsie. The house was just down the road from Boone and less than a 30 min drive from Blowing Rock, which were the two main places we wanted to visit. The house was super cute and very clean. I was really impressed by the cleanliness since that is important to me in finding a place to stay. The beds and living room furniture were also comfortable. We were very happy with our stay here. The owner was responsive to all my questions.
