The pool and area around it were closed due to some awards function taking place. We didn’t know that til We arrived and saw the staging being setup. And while there was a note in the room saying so that didn’t really help as we were already there The dining room staff (all the staff actually) were very warm and friendly and the location is wonderful being right on the beach

I read reviews the service was slow and they were correct. The resort location is perfect you’re able to walk on the beach,swim,walk to restaurants! The room itself is out dated! Bed was comfortable it was one of those heavy foam mattresses. I looked at other properties all about the same as far as outdated! You’re in the Islands. Staff was very nice

My wife and I enjoyed ourselves very much at Sunset Shores. We actually had the opportunity to meet one of the owners and learn about the deep history of the hotel. This is an older property but well maintained overall. Reception staff were wonderful. Wait staff for breakfast was terrible at best. Service was beyond slow. 3 other tables did not receive any silverware, salt and pepper, never checked in and took 55 minutes for food to arrive. I have to ask for silverware and took salt and pepper from other tables. Much improvement is needed here. Staff was sitting and talking to each other rather than working.
