"What a wonderful place to just get away. Good dining options on property but better options are sadly about a 30 minute drive over in Grove OK as there's not many choices on Monkey Island (peninsula) and during the off season many are closed or limited hours. We did enjoy the spacious pool on property. "

"Rhonda & Feryl we’re amazing hosts! Their adorable little lake house, Making Waves, was more than we could’ve hoped for in a home away from home! The two docks were just steps away, very well maintained, and very easy to access! (One is even covered with provided seating and some lighting!) The view from the living room window includes the water! It was lovely!While we were there, we also learned that pelicans migrate through at certain times of year! Pelicans in Oklahoma! Who would’ve guessed?!?! There is a small deck on the house with cozy seating for two. We really enjoyed it! This was an added perk for my Man who is a smoker. No smoking inside, but that was fine by us, because it’s not allowed in our home either. Nearby, there was also a provided BBQ for guest to use.And I can’t forget to mention the delicious, FREE root beer float supplies! Yum! An unexpected sweet treat is always a fun surprise! In case you’re wondering, the internet and Smart TV worked great for our phones and streaming services. They also have cable which made it easy to just flip on the Tv and enjoy! The big overstuffed recliner was super comfortable as was the bed! In fact, we wanted to take that mattress home with us! If your looking for a great place to fish, a romantic getaway, or a trip for your small family, we’d highly recommend Making Waves as your destination! We will definitely be return customers this summer, in the fall to see the pelicans, and hopefully beyond!"

"We very much enjoyed our stay here! The property was extremely clean and accurate to photos! We loved the access to the dock and had a great time fishing for hours. The dock is so nice and taken care of! Also loved that there are chairs on the dock to use. The beds were comfy, ceiling fan in the living room (necessity!) and even supplied laundry pods to washy our fishy clothes! The only thing I’d like to add is possibly the need for a de-humidifier in the home. It was a rainy humid weekend FOR SURE, but the house held a lot of humidity, despite me turning the AC down. Other than that - zero complaints, we’ll be back! "
