Room was clean and staff was excellent! The price of everything was very high! Food, drinks, snacks, you name it, nothing was the price you’d expect. I’m still deciding if the stay overall was worth the money.

So much to do here! Room was pretty good besides rust in the tub. Well maintained grounds. Pickleball, tennis and basketball courts are really top notch. And the whiffle field is awesome. Dining options are pretty much just bar food. Only option for breakfast is Starbucks, with very limited, ok options. The shuttle to the golf course is great!

This is a BEAUTIFUL property with amazing amenities. The web site does not do justice. It is WAY better than it shows. A true Caribbean high end resort style pool, two golf courses sitting on a beautiful lake with all of the lake amenities. Tennis courts, pickle ball and even wiffle ball! Game room for the kids and a golf simulator. FANTASTIC. Rooms were clean but zero daily service on a 3 day stay. I had to ask for clean set ups. The food beverage is below mediocre. The menus sound GREAT, but the food is institutional and doesn't match the menu descriptions. The Golf Club is sensational, but their food was also mediocre. There is no wine list, just a few bottles of red & white. I highly recommend this property, just know it is not a culinary delight.

Great property and staff. Plenty of activities! Heavy pool usage probably caused it to be "cloudy" water. Only real problem was like so many hotels, the HVAC system created a damp musty smell due to the need for cleaning and new filters. However, would stay again.

Our stay at Shangri-La from 9/17 - 9/20 was overall very nice. The resort is showing its age and the rooms are somewhat small, but they were clean. The biggest adjustment was that the on-site bars closed somewhere between 9:00 and 10:00 on Thursday and by 11:00 on Saturday, although they did stay open for the remainder of one of the football games, but then closed. The staff was very helpful and nice to work with. The golf course was excellent and was the main reason we went to Shangri-La for the weekend. The staff at the course were great to work with and very helpful is setting up tee times. The tee boxes were the nicest I have ever played on, large and flat and perfectly manicured. The greens rolled fast and true and were in great shape. And, the fairways were perfect for the most part. Since they have 3 9 hole courses, the course never felt overly crowded. But...it was a golfing weekend with lots of players on both Friday and Saturday and the courses did play a little slow. The bar and grill at the course did not open until 4:00 each day but we did eat there Saturday night and had a great dinner. Overall, we would definitely return to Shangri-La, for either a relaxing weekend with family or for a golf weekend with friends.

We may be more particular than most people. In our room (402), the door to the balcony needs repaired as is hard to open & the shower nozzle needs replaced. Cleaning of the room was just okay/not excellent. Pool area was beautiful & Doc’s was a nice amenity. We were particularly disappointed in the Summit Restaurant, which has excellent service but the food quality was lacking. Everything was heavily over-peppered. Overall Shanghai-La Resort is a beautiful facility in a gorgeous location. We just maybe expected a little higher standard in our room.

Very small rooms. The pool is too small for the capacity of people. Residents of the area are also allowed to use the pool as well as the guests of the hotel. There are also not enough chairs. This is a great resort for families with kids.
