We stayed only as long as necessary for the wedding we were attending, as the property was extremely disappointing. The house had a strong moldy, mildewy odor, like a wet dog, that made it very unpleasant. While we didn’t expect a gourmet kitchen, the pots and pans were extremely worn, and the pressed-board shelving under the counters was crumbling into the stored kitchen equipment. The couch felt unclean, to the point where I wouldn’t sit on it.Several electrical outlets didn’t work, while others were oddly controlled by unlabeled switches. In multiple spots, the subfloor was soft, dipping, or caving in. Neither of the doors had deadbolts, which raised safety concerns.The exterior was just as frustrating. The front foliage was so overgrown that it made the required task of taking the trash bin to the curb unnecessarily difficult. The yard — one of the main reasons we chose this property — was completely unusable due to a severe mosquito infestation. The playground equipment was also unsafe, with low-hanging branches interfering with its use.Overall, we ended our stay early and will not be returning to this property.
