Excellent situation. Easy parking around the corner. Stylish hotel, excellent restaurant. Room a little small; bathroom tired. No outlets for charging phone on both sides of the bed. Nice view from room.

Very decent hotel with good services
The staff at breakfast was very helpful. Check in and check out was quickly handled. The room is not big but rather clean and comfy. AC worked quite well. Location is truly great, close to all things in need. Family friendly in general.

Great location and value
Great value hotel right in the centre of the town. The steam room, sauna, and little pool are a nice perk and the two electric car charging places in the included parking make life easier in the historic area of Visby. It seems to do the two beds pushed together instead of a double in most rooms though.

short stay at Strand hotel
We stayed at this hotel on our way back home after a week on Gotland. It’s located near the south wall and you can park just outside the wall or use one of the few parking spot at the hotel parking. Call them to reserve a spot. There is a indoor pool and gym which we did not use. We took a drink at the roof bar which have a lovely view. I’m a bit disappointed on the staff we met in the reception and in the roof bar, they was not that friendly that you would expect. I hope we just had bad luck, but it’s lowering the points on the review

Central and comfortable
Nice hotel, in former old brewery. Everything you require, as well as a small pool and sauna area. There is also complimentary tea and coffee in the foyer, very nice touch. It is close to the shore and right in the middle of the old town of Visby, inside the famous Wall.

great location, great town
this was my third trip to visby, first stay at the B/W strand - really ideal location, easy access to everything of interest in the town, comfortable, quiet and a very good breakfast included - not only would i recommend the strand to others, i would stay there again myself - staff very helpful with both restaurant and shopping recommendations, everyone also spoke english quite well (as my few words of swedish and comprehension are very poor) - all in all, exactly what i needed for the weekend of visby's christmas market

Perfect clean hotel nestled in medieval center.
Lovely place to stay inside the inner walls. Th prior time we stayed here parking in their lots was chaotic, there was no parking fee but it was first-come, first served. So sometimes there were not enough spots. But now they charge a fee per day and only rent as many spaces as they have -- so there was always a spot for us and that is much better. But be warned that the spaces are all small and the medieval streets are narrow and vavigating them is tough. The breakfast is great, lots to choose from.

A room without AC
The room we had was on the ground floor of the hotel and was right on the street. Since there was no Air conditioning in the room we had no choice but to open the windows which was another disaster not only because of the noise that made our sleep impossible but also for the loss of privacy. Street walkers were peeping in to our room.

Great location and value for a trip to Gotland
This hotel is a great value and located right in the heart of historic Visby. It's just a short walk to the walls and the excellent Gotland museum. Also a great place to start a walk around Visby's amazing walls. The room is simple and small but clean and comfortable. It's a great value. The breakfast is great with lots of bread, meats, jams and coffee. Good dining to be had around. The hotel bar is well stocked with locally brewed Gotland beer as well. Friendly and helpful staff that speak excellent English (which is now the norm for Sweden)

Happy customer at a lovely hotel
On entering the hotel I was very impressed, the reception is very nicely decorated and the staff were excellent. This is my first visit to Visby and it was nice to see how the hotel had kept many of the traditional features of the building, which were typical of the area. The pool and sauna area were modern, clean and at least during my stay almost deserted. I would happily stay here again, for a business hotel its only flaw is the lack of restaurant, but there are so many lovely places to eat within the city walls that I am not sure I can hold this against the hotel.
