Simple but clean, great staff and even though it was 11PM when I arrived the gentlemen behind the counter made a sandwich for me :)

This was an emergency stay due to our flight back to the states being canceled. Taxi is the only way to get there from the airport. Room was comfortable, although a little warm. Shower was nice size compared to other hotels. Owner was very friendly and allowed us to keep our things in the sitting room while we went for lunch across the street before heading back to the airport.

Best breakfast out of the 5 hotels we stayed at for our trip. These people are good. Location is handy to Reykavik, the airport, Blue Lagoon, and the golden circle.

Basic but very clean.
It is a fairly basic hotel. I was lovely and clean but the bed was very uncomfortable. Except for the bed it suited us for the one night.

It is pretty close to a gas station, which we found at the time was essential to our stay while we were using a small car.

Got marooned in Iceland due to severe weather. Found a room fairly close to the airport here. Rooms were clean and tidy. Mattresses and shower worked great. The breakfast which is not included is a little expensive for what you get but the bonus is the owner operator is a painter and the entire lobby and dining hall has significant works of art as he is quite prolific. A good place to stay at good value. Would stay again!

We had a 2 room suite, within which thee was a kitchen and lots of seating. The owners were very accomodating to our emergency-housing needs, due to flight cancellation. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were warm.

Nice older hotel
This is an older hotel, but it was very clean and comfortable. I was traveling with my sister and her husband, and we had our flight cancelled, so we scrambled to find a room to stay in overnight. This hotel had a "suite" with two bedrooms with a connecting door. One of the rooms had a small kitchen in it with refrigerator and stove. The breakfast spread was fabulous!

The property was reasonably clean, but definitely dated. What I liked least was being charged an additional 2200 ISK per person for a breakfast that was okay, but certainly not exceptional (not at all worth the 2200 in my mind). There seemed to be no other options. Things were significantly better in other hotels on our trip. Personally, I would not stay there again.

He thought breakfast was included in the price and was not happy to have to pay for it,,,better to find out what is included before entering the Hotel so that is no misunderstanding

Hotel Vogar stay
The rooms were very nice and clean. There was no food available close or in motel but available with a drive. I would recommend this for a relaxing night or short stay. This was the only rooms that had TV.
