  • The great location of this property allows for easy access to many outstanding “once in a lifetime only on the big island adventures”. Minutes from Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Within an hour to; South Point and the worlds only Green Sand Beach, Puunaluu Bakery ( the most Southern bakery in the US featuring world famous Malasadas), Panaewa Rainforest Zoo and Gardens and the Historic town of Hilo. Less than a 2 hour drive to Kona side where there are many outstanding snorkeling beaches and the National park Puuhonua o Honaunau

    The entire house will be yours except one locked closet. The studio is equipped with a microwave, coffee maker, cooking stove (No oven) , a good size fridge, and everything to cook your own meals. Large covered lanai creates additional outdoor living and eating space.

Small but spectacular

Three of us stayed here and it was perfect. It is small but it had everything we needed. Felt safe and had privacy. Easy check in and out. Great location to VNP! Would recommend

This was our home base for a week on the Big Island…well, Hurricane Lala kicked us out one day early..praying for Big Island folx for a speedy recovery). Good shower and nice firm queen size bed on first floor. Loft has a futon, but we didn’t use it, but it is accessible by a ladder. Fridge is not a full size, but like a large dorm size and plenty of room to store a few days food. Kitchen well stocked for cooking your own meals and it was fun to use the propane outside cook stove under the large patio, where you can eat at a full sized picnic table. The driveway down to the property is a little bit rutted, so it might be muddy in a storm but as I wrote, we jumped out of the way of the Hurricane just in time. A **great** location for viewing Mauna Kea and Kilauea, Volcanoes National Park (we saw the August 12 eruption). About 1.5 hours from South Point and west coast, Kona, etc. Big Island is an amazing place and this cute bungalow made the stay feel very cozy. No a/c but lots of pass thru breezes helped it cool off at night.
