Welcome to “De Feerjenhusen” at the Haubarg in Vollerwiek—your holiday home. Vollerwiek is located on the south coast of Eiderstedt, 10 km from St. Peter-Ording. “De Feerjenhusen” (the holiday homes) are located 500 m behind the sea dike. Just a 7-minute walk and you’ll reach my favourite spot—the bench by the DLRG hut—where you can watch the red sun sink into the sea.
In Vollerwiek, a small village characterised by agriculture and tourism—with a DLRG-patrolled swimming area and beach chairs in the summer, and a bike path at the foot of the green dike along the Eider Barrage all the way to St. Peter-Ording with views of the North Sea—you’ll experience the pure beauty of North Frisia.
Arrive, unwind, let your mind wander, soak in the vastness of the mudflats, relax, and recharge your batteries.
If you prefer a livelier atmosphere, you’ll find entertainment right nearby.
The bustling town of St. Peter-Ording, with its 12-kilometer-long sandy beach and unique stilt houses, is just a 10-minute drive away. Tönning, Husum, Friedrichstadt, or Büsum—with their historic harbours, canals, a variety of shops, cosy cafes, and restaurants serving regional cuisine—are just 15 to 30 minutes away.
I’ve been renting out holiday apartments in Eiderstedt for over 30 years. In the fall of 2019, I parted ways with the “old buildings” and built a modern holiday complex for you to enjoy.

The “De Feerjenhusen” holiday complex at the Haubarg in Vollerwiek consists of two holiday homes. The low-allergen apartments range in size from 62 to 80 square metres and feature one to three bedrooms in addition to a bathroom and kitchen.
All holiday apartments are equipped with everything you need to take care of yourself and feel at home.
* Underfloor heating throughout, installed under tiles and designer flooring using only (natural) plasticizers that are safe for your health and the environment.
* Fully equipped kitchen-living room with a ceramic cooktop, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher, coffee maker, and electric kettle.
* Living room with a fireplace, leather sofa set, dining table and chairs, large TV, and Wi-Fi. Blankets are provided for you on the sofa.
* Bedroom with cosy, made-up beds.
* Spacious bathroom with an exterior window, walk-in shower, and basic towel supplies.
* You and your children will love the separately fenced-in garden area for each apartment, as well as the private terrace with a garden table, chairs, and lounge chairs.
* One paved parking space in front of the house for each apartment.

Dogs are welcome at “De Feerjenhusen,” provided they are well-behaved and house-trained. Outside of your own fenced-in garden area, your pets must be kept on a leash on the grounds of the “De Feerjenhusen” holiday complex out of consideration for other guests.

The 62-square-meter holiday home DÜNENTRAUM. This bright, modernly furnished apartment offers plenty of space for couples and families. Solo travellers can relax by the fireplace in the spacious living room and enjoy the modern L-shaped kitchen that opens onto the living area, as well as the spacious bathroom with a walk-in shower, all to themselves. Comfortable beds and cosy pillows and blankets ensure a restful night’s sleep. In the evening, the vibrant red hues of the setting sun invite you to enjoy dinner on the terrace of your fully fenced-in garden.
