The sea is 800 m away; shopping, restaurants, and the train station are each 5 km away. The popular sandy beach of St. Peter-Ording is about a 15-minute drive away. A car is recommended.

Vollerwiek is an idyllic village on the southern side of the Eiderstedt Peninsula and is considered a quiet and dreamy oasis in the midst of a rural idyll.
