Cozy, Creekside Cabin-Where Rustic Elegance Meets Adventure-Citico Creek

You'll love this 1930s era cabin on Citico Creek. Rustic, yet not lacking in modern conveniences. Grill and enjoy the sounds of the creek from the deck or watch a movie in the cabin. The cabin is situation on the edge of the Cherokee National Forest and the creek is regularly stocked with trout.
Enjoy the Fall Folliage, Fishermen and Hunters welcome. Come dangle your toes in the creek. Steps from the national forest. Bring your hiking boots, ATVs, side-by-side and Jeeps - explore the back roads and hiking trail in Cherokee National Forest between the cabin and the Cherohala Skyway. From the Skyway, it's a short distance to Indian Boundry Lake, Bald River Falls and The Tail of The Dragon. This cabin is remote and peaceful but at the heart of the quiet side of the Smokies.
We have WiFi, a landline phone (wifi calling if your phone supports it), 2 60+" Samsung TVs, fully equipped kitchen (stove, oven, coffee station, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, deep freeze, gas grill (bring your propane tank), barbecue grill (bring briquettes), air conditioning, electric heater and more.

Only one pet is allowed without specific prior approval. The pet fee must be paid at time of booking. If a service animal exception to the pet fee is being claimed, papers must be produced to prove service animal status. Failure to produce correct paperwork within 48 hours of the booking will result in the pet fee being added to the booking.
Failure to notify us about a pet, service animal or bringing more than one pet without approval will result in a $150 fee being assessed. We are very flexible on all of this: just let us know up front and we will work with you to accommodate your family and their specific needs.

We charge a pet fee because it costs more to clean the cabin afterwards. Many of our guests have had animal related allergies and we must make sure the cabin is clean for their safety.

Because of the allergy issue, we have to ask that your pet not get on the furniture or the beds. We have a large dog bed available for your use.

And we love cats, but are both allergic to them, so we can't host cats. There's a neighborhood cat, you can call him Tiger or Grifter: if he decides to, he'll answer to both. He will tell you sad stories about how neglected he is and how he hasn't been fed in weeks. Don't believe him. He's a cat. It's what they do.

Great get-away
It is pretty secluded. Real cabin, very authentic. But all the amenities are here. The hosts ensure if you have forgotten anything it’s available, anything at all. It is very remote, it just what I needed. Although it is remote, I drove to Pigeon Forge one day for a car show and that was only about 2 hours and this is two hours direct into pigeon forge with no traffic. Great value. Gorgeous stream behind. Little slice of paradise.

Wonderfully Cozy Cabin
We really enjoyed our stay at John and Tammy's cabin. This was our first trip to the area, and we absolutely loved the location of the cabin. It is definitely remote, but it is exactly what we were looking for. John and Tammy had the cabin decorated very nicely, and it was extremely well stocked with everything we could have needed. Both John and Tammy were extremely responsive and helpful with questions about the cabin and things to do in the area. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Vonore, TN.

Perfect Stay for Our Family
My husband and I came to East TN to visit my stepmother who was in town from Michigan visiting 2 of her children. We were able to have her stay with us one night and then we had a pot luck one afternoon for all of us (7 in all). The view is serene and we can't say enough of how well the cabin is stocked. I loved to kitchen! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and hope we can come again. The Millers blessed us by sharing their getaway cabin!

Best Hidden Gem!
If you want to get away from the hustle and bustle and really enjoy the outdoors you must stay here. We were so lucky to be there for a month while waiting to close on our home. The location is amazing waking up surround by national forest and a creek right out the back door. The drive to the cabin is one of my favorite parts crossing over rivers, seeing the farms and trees lining the road. The drive is paved all the way to the cabin so no worries about needing a certain type of vehicle to get there. We loved getting out and exploring the area and even drove the back way to Gatlinburg- it was absolutely amazing. The cabin is filled with everything you could want or need. The extra touches that Tammy added like a coffee bar and cinnamon rolls waiting for us really makes you feel welcomed. Tammy and John made sure we arrived safely and are tentative making sure we had a great stay. They were also very easy to get ahold of by call/text when we had a question. I highly recommend staying here if you are visiting the area - you won’t want to leave.
