Baylor Football Season Ready! Take TWO streets to Downtown & Magnolia Silos!

Unlike other properties, we are located one block away from THREE Magnolia Fixer Upper homes that you can see on your evening walk! Additionally, we are less than 10 minutes to Baylor. Plus, we have plenty of room for your large groups with FOUR bedrooms and THREE bathrooms. Additionally, our home is the perfect getaway for a couples, family, or girls trip! Our Mavie House is located just over 2 miles from the Silos and downtown area! Waco offers beautiful walks by the river, hikes through Cameron Park, trips to the lake, shopping shopping shopping, and much more!

Character, comfort, and charm describe this newly renovated historic home! My wish for you is to enjoy a weekend of relaxation, fun, and of course, plenty of sweetness!

The space
The home is located near main streets that make it super easy to get to Downtown. You can get to Downtown traveling down just 2 streets. Our space feels refreshing and cozy all at the same time! We have WiFi and a smart TV to keep your entertainment needs met.

Guest access
There is a large back yard and front yard for outdoor enjoyment including outdoor games!

Other things to note

Welcome to Texas! The weather can range from one extreme to the next all within 24 hrs. We ask when using heat keep the temp no higher than 68 and when using AC no lower than 65 (at night only) and 70 during the day. This helps the unit run as efficiently as possible without causing damage.

Additionally, we try to keep the electricity usage as Earth Friendly and conservative as possible. When not using a room, can you please be mindful of turning lights off in the bedrooms, bathrooms, and all other areas of the home. We are super appreciative of your assistance in helping us be more environmentally friendly.

Children are allowed, but I do not have the home set of for safety in regards to infants ages 0-2. Also, most of the furniture, bedding and towels are white, so children of all ages may need to be watched carefully to avoid spills and stains. I appreciate your help in keeping the place clean from stains!

Please no shoes on the living room rug or bedroom carpets.

Fireplace is inoperable at this time, and for display only.

Windows - if for any reason you need to open windows please be very careful. They are the original 1916 windows. They are heavy and don’t hold in the open position. If let loose they will break. Thank you for being careful!

Sisters trip

Waco is a central location for us to drive to to spend time together without any other interruptions. Late mornings drinking coffee and catching up and slow afternoons checking out the town

Cozy and clean!

We loved staying here. Everything was clean and well stocked. I always bring extras (toilet paper, dishwasher pods, etc) and didn't need any of it! The host was easily accessible and the keypad lock made check in a breeze. We would stay again.

Family girls' trip

We loved our stay at the Movie House! The character of the house shines through with cute, updated touches throughout. We really appreciated the 4 bedrooms with THREE bathrooms! This is worth checking out!

Great stay near all things Magnolia!

We loved our stay here at Sweet Mavie house! The location proximity to all things Magnolia could not be beat. The property was super-clean and had all that we needed. The hosts are laid back and made an effort to make our stay as comfortable and easy-going as possible. We loved all the Magnolia decor touches, too! Thank you for a lovely place to stay on our couples getaway!

Beautiful

We had a wonderful time. We were on a girls trip, two sisters and a sister-in-law. The house was very nice and welcoming. We had a great time in Waco, seeing Magnolia, took a tour of the town, just had a great time. Everyone was very friendly, everywhere we went.

Sisters reunion

Our stay was for 5 sisters ages 69-82 and 2 spouses. We come from New York State, Minnesota and Texas. So Waco was a good spot to meet. And there was the attraction of the Magnolia Market/Silos. The "cottage" fit us well. The living room had comfortable seating for everyone. Perfect as much of our time was spent talking and visiting. Plenty of bathrooms.....comfortable beds and central air conditioning! This was important as temperatures outside were unusually high for the time of year. Overall, the house deserves a high rating.

Great house for 8!

We loved staying at this house in Waco! The house was charming, clean, and located in a great spot. There are only beds for 8 and it said it sleeps 10. We had to look around for other bedding and did find an air mattress. But loved the house and would definitely stay again.

Perfect house!

I can’t say enough positive things about our stay!!! The house was so charming (exactly like the pictures!) & had everything we needed. Check-in was seamless, beds were comfortable, A/C worked great, washer & dryer are very new. All things that seem minor, but can tend to be the luck of the draw with short term rentals. The absolute best part is that check-out was SO EASY. We were basically instructed to not worry about anything, they would take care of it. After traveling cross-country to celebrate our son’s graduation from Baylor we were tuckered out & that was a very nice surprise. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone coming to Waco.

Pleasant Enough I Guess

We had a fairly pleasant stay . 2 things were wrong about the listing. 1. A comment said the neighborhood wasnt good. It was fine 2. The listing said Magnolia Silos was 2 Streets took over 20min by car to The house was in great shape very comfortable except the beds. One family member had to sleep on the coach because the bed was so hard. Some bedroom doors would not latch.

The house was very clean, not cluttered, calming, comfortable, decorations were perfect and the right amount--cute little touches. They use eco friendly hand soap, dish washing liquid , Myers, hair care and body wash. The hair dryers worked great as did the coffee pot, stove and tea kettle. The AC worked perfectly. The house is centrally located, in a good location and we didn't have any issues. The host, Phylisia, was very responsive and easy to work with as was VRBO. We would definitely stay there again. TY.
