"I traveled all the way from Sacramento, which was 4 hours away. A bit tired and exhausted at that time. The room that was given to me has a connecting section on the other side, where the people there were loud and noisy. I don't have the energy to request a transfer due to exhaustion. At least from the reception, the staff should ask if the customer is ok with that setup. Also, the internet was very slow. I brought my laptop for some email checks and work-related tasks, but I cannot even open my email due to a poor connection."

"Location is great. Walk out the door & you're on a pathway along the bluffs w/trails that take you out to the end or down to the beach. Good sunset viewing. Would def stay here again. Only bother is toilets are very low to the ground so if you're tall or have long legs it's a bit. Wish they had put in taller toilets but that's a 1st world problem. Staff was great."

"We stopped here halfway thru a week long road trip after flying from the East Coast. At check-in, we were upgraded to a King room free of charge. It was lovely to be on the 2nd story with a view of the ocean. We were impressed with the attentive staff who had very warm, positive attitudes. Breakfast was very good and included many options. We were feeling rather road weary, so decided to stay a second night. Perfect place to rest for a down day that included a few hours of strolling thru the beautiful Mendocino Coast Botanical Garden nearby. Thank you, Seabird Lodge, for being a brief "home" away from home."

"My family and I just recently stayed at this lovely property for my 51st Birthday and to celebrate my sons new job. It was perfect and nice to getaway and enjoy the surrounding nature. It was nice waking up to the sounds of birds chirping. From the back patio porch we had a beautiful view of the sunset and a small glimpse of the ocean. This is small pet friendly which was nice for our two little dachshund mix dogs. I think they enjoyed it as well. Thank you again for sharing your place with us, we greatly appreciate it."

"The room was roomy and welcoming. I always enjoy my stays at the Surf and Sound. Other than noisy neighbors with children who eventually settled down at 11 pm, the stay was relaxing."

"No pool no breakfast. Deadbolt in room did not work. asked for clean sheets and an extra blanket didn't get them while we were out the hole day. Had to go back and ask again. Shower had poor water pressure. Wasn't worried about the pool since we were there for the beach. But both pool and breakfast were advertised win I booked the room"
