    There is plenty to do all year round. In Summer head to the beach, just a short stroll away, for some sun, sand and surf. Or go on an adventure and drive up the coast to one of the many picturesque Coromandel beaches. Less than 20 minutes drive away is the popular Hauraki Rail Trail and Karangahake Gorge Walks. Or simply stay in Waihi and experience the local shops and cafe.
