Morrinsville Motel

8/10 Good

"Our room was clean and well appointed. It was an adequate size with a separate bathroom. The place is a little dated but clean and comfortable. The bed was a generous size and was comfortable. Unfortunately we were in the corner unit 1 to the left of the reception area and the outlook was the back of the office with cleaining equipment and rubbish bins. We didn't spend anytime outside so it wasn't an issue but I would recommend requesting a room in the middle of the complex if available. There is a small swimming pool on the property which we didn't use but would be good if travelling in summer with children. There seemed to be plenty of parking, not allocated to particular rooms so just park wherever. Our stay was pleasant and the location is handy to everything. Highly recommend the Redoubt Bar and Grill for dinner down the road, they also do great coffee and cheese scones in the morning."

The Pacific Apartments

10/10 Excellent

"Great apartment, just the lack of clarity between deluxe and superior apartments was confusing. Didn’t know superior is limited to the second floor and deluxe can get you a higher room apartment because our view wasn’t really an ocean view as promised. Apart from that, great apartment, super clean and modern-ish. The girl at the reception was very friendly and just be wary that the pool is closed and there is a slight construction on due to the landslide earlier this year i suspect. Great stay, would recommend it and would return here."

The Atrium Apartments

8/10 Good

"The apartment had a fantastic harbour view and was in a great location, with the beach, harbour, and restaurants all nearby. It was a lovely spot to stay and conveniently located for exploring the area. The only downside was the lack of air conditioning, which could make the apartment quite hot during the summer months. A portable heater was provided, which would be useful during colder weather. Overall, a great location with beautiful views, but the lack of air conditioning is something to consider if you’re planning to stay during summer."

Bethlehem Motor Inn

8/10 Good

"Staff were very helpful with planned late arrival. Instructions were easy to follow and arrival was smooth. The unit is next to a busy road and is very handy to the expressway to Tauranga and Mt Maunganui - which meant finding it was easy. But as a result there was quite a bit of traffic noise. We booked the two bedroom unit with fold-out bed for our 5th family member. The fold-out was broken and when pointed out to the management they said this was normal and all the units had similar fold-outs. We have used fold-outs extensively and this is not normal. As a result our son has aggravated a back spasm so unfortunately we will not be returning to this property."
