"I had a very nice stay at The Boathouse Lodge. The place was clean and my room was comfortable. There was a lot of parking available. I didn't meet the hosts, but they left a very detailed note about where my room was and about the continental breakfast of cereal and bread that I could help myself to in the kitchen. There were 2 fridges that you could put your food into and the kitchen was well stocked with everything you would need. This location was close to the ferry, which was very convenient."

"Superb position right on the waterfront in private North-facing section. Views of the bay and ridges on beach side. Lots of birds & birdsong. Immaculately clean, well-maintained and well-equipped."

"For the price you pay it's what you expect, it was clean so made up for the lack of. Loved the host, even came to the ferry to pick us up in his old jalopy 😆. For a one night stay it was amenable. ✌"

"Edit is a very nice place to stay, and I've had awesome stays in the past. The room we received however was quite dated, and dusty, with a shower that was very reminiscent of the 60s... The room is referenced as a 'budget' room, but I still expected more given my previous experience at the same hotel and amount I was spending on the room. The bed was clean, but the amount of dust behind the bed and on the floor was pretty surprising. The staff were lovely, and I would stay again - however, I would want to ensure I got a room which had been renovated."
