A beautiful cozy getaway

This was very cute, great location and beach access. We loved the cute upstairs and the beds were comfy. We would stay here again for sure!

We had a wonderful time staying at the house. The beach access was Very easy and the beds were very comfortable. The house was clean and well maintained.

Perfect location funky and a bit run down

Loved the location, sheets and towels were very clean. The rest of the unit could use some serious love. Using packaging tape to hold together the bathroom door is a unique use of materials. The floors and bathroom could really use a strong cleaning. The stairs to the second floor are very steep and I don’t recommend for anyone with bifocals or vertigo! Great location!

Great location

Great location and price point. Nothing fancy but it was clean despite being outdated. Stairs are steep. It was better then being in a hotel.

Perfectly lovely beach spot

Very clean. Lots of pillows, towels, and blankets. Heat works great. Kitchen equipped for long term living. Fabulous beach access.

Great location

Cute older place. Amazing location for the price. Someone needs to check the dishes between guests instead of relying on the honor system. Everything I went to use was visible dirty. Also none of the windows or sliding doors have screens we like to get the fresh sea air with out all the little bugs flying in. Overall I would stay here again if it stays the same price.

Good visit, one problem.

Very clean. Property manager very helpful. We enjoyed our stay. Problem: the sliding door to the beach was very hard to open. My mother-in-law (86) could not open it. Alone, in a fire, with no other way out, she would die.

Sanderling Cottages

Location was great. The only complaint was the lack of visibility trying to get out of the parking area. The cottage was really great, but the downstairs was incredibly small. It felt like the 8 person table in the entry/dining/kitchen/living room was unnecessary and more of an inconvenience than an amenity. Otherwise the beach was amazing and there was great access. The bedrooms were roomy and comfortable.Would definitely recommend for people looking for a dog friendly place to stay.

Nice Stay Close to Beach!

Everything was as advertised. We love the beach access. There is a hose nearby to rinse off feet before going in to apartment. There is only one bathroom downstairs and all beds are upstairs so hard for anyone needing frequent bathroom visits with mobility issues.

Just what we needed!

My family and I truly enjoyed our time at the coast and this rental unit fit the bill for what we needed! It’s an older unit, but the location and the beach more than made up for it.

Great Beach Access

I booked this place for myself, my dad and my dog. It met all of our needs. It’s an older place so it has some quirks. But access to the beach right off the back deck and great views checked those boxes for sure. It was also very nice to have access to the yard for the dog. Everyone around seemed us seemed to have their dogs too, so just be aware if your dog fees the need to bark at others all the time. The beach was great and not many people. The location was close to Yachats and Waldport and wasn’t too far from Newport either. I’d book this place again or another in this little complex.

Over priced

Property was very run down and needs a lot of fixing. Broken faucet, kitchen sink dripped, toilet made a weird hissing sound, sliding door was difficult to close. Mattresses were either old or cheap and no one got a good nights sleep. Very strong smell of pinesol. But the worst part was that the overall layout was very uncomfortable for more than 2 people to be in the living room together even though the property is supposed to accommodate up to 6 people. Considering what I paid for 2 nights I was very disappointed and so were my friends. We wanted a relaxing space but ended up not wanting to spend any time there because it was just so uncomfortable. I would definitely never stay again. There are much better options out there that are also cheaper.

Great location to explore Cape Perpetua area.

Loved the location right between Waldport and Yachats, close to Cape Perpetua. Older property, but well kept. Good set up for a family with kids. Didn't realize the main bedroom didn't have its own door and is open to the stairwell to the main area. The person staying in the other bedroom with the 2 beds (which does have its own door) had to tiptoe down the stairs to get to the bathroom during the night, hoping they wouldn't wake us up. Overall, a nice place right next to the beach.

Experience history

This is one of the last historical buildings on the coast. As someone who grew up on the coast, I've seen so many changes that have erased the magic of the coast experience. This place was a chance to remember all the times past with family.

This was the worst stay of our vacation. The steps were impassable with suitcases, the deck was horrible with rotting wood and exposed nails. The lock box was rusted and too for ever to open and close. But the WORST was the infestation of ants EVERYWHERE and the mgmt knew this but the ant traps in every room, Very deceiving pictures and verbiage about the property!

This was the worst stay of our vacation. Steps were impassible with suitcases. Horrible deck with exposed nails and uneven boards. Broken rusted lock box that took forever to open and close. The WORST— infested INFESTED with ants! The rental team knew this because there were ant traps in every room. Never again EVOLVE TEAM!

the cottage was rustic but worked fine. the towels in the bathroom and kitchen smelled of mold. as soon as they were used, the entire room filled with foul orders. for the amount of $ we paid, i think the towels should have been newer.

Great location. Worn-down properities

The property was a short walk to the beach so that was the big draw. Super great location for being close to the beach. The size and description was as expected, but it was a little dated and lacked comforts(except the mattress, that was very comfortable) such as extra blankets. The coffee maker was so old and stained that it looked like it was not possible to be cleaned. No extra blankets or throws to get cozy under. There were notes telling guests to wash all the dishes and leave the kitchen as clean as we found it and another note asking to tip the cleaning service. Why are we are expected to clean after ourselves, tip the cleaning service and to pay a cleaning fee at the time of booking? Maybe it is commensurable to what we paid, not sure. Not the worst place we have stayed. Not the best. It was clean and close to the beach. As we were leaving, they were tearing down some old units to build new ones, so this will be old news at some point.
