The best motel I've ever stayed in, and I've stayed in about 30 this year. It's more like a resort than a motel. The rooms and the bathrooms are very spacious. The dining room/restaurant/bar is excellent. Food selection, serving size and quality is top class.

Our group stay at Black Gold every year for the Ridgy Didge trail festival. We wouldn’t stay - or even eat - anywhere else! We love it here, the staff, the restaurant, it’s all part of our annual weekend pilgrimage to this race and we wouldn’t change a thing

I feel lucky to have found this hotel. Check in was a breeze with a code - perfect as I arrived very late after a long drive. Parking was right out front and it’s a very well laid out hotel, all rooms I saw were ground floor so perfect for anyone with mobility issues or just tired from a long day and lugging bags inside. The room was clean and warm. The best find for me was the restaurant - cosy and warm, a wide menu, friendly and efficient staff .. a real pleasure with the gas fire place and large windows.
