Josie Holiday Home – Family-Friendly North Sea Holiday with a Garden
The “Josie” holiday home is a cosy middle unit in a terrace house with approximately 80 m² of living space and offers the ideal setting for a relaxing holiday on the North Sea. On the ground floor, you’ll find an open-concept living and dining area with a very well-equipped built-in kitchen that leaves nothing to be desired. From the living area, you have direct access to the patio with a barbecue fireplace—perfect for social evenings outdoors. Also on the ground floor, you’ll find a guest bathroom with a washing machine and a hallway. A flat-screen TV in the living area provides entertainment, and thanks to free fiber-optic Wi-Fi, you’ll stay connected at all times.

A staircase leads to the attic of the house. Here you’ll find the master bedroom with a large double bed, a closet, and a TV, as well as a children’s room with two single beds and a closet. This floor is complemented by a bathroom with a shower and a handy storage room.

Hooksiel’s charming town centre invites you to stroll through a picturesque pedestrian zone, with shopping options and restaurants, while a large EDEKA supermarket with a bakery at the town entrance offers everything you need for a relaxing holiday. The beach, located about 3 km away, is equipped with parking and beach chairs, and water skiing at the Hooksiel ski terraces provides plenty of action, while beautiful hiking and biking trails lead from the old harbour to the outer harbour and the beach.

The climatic health resort of Hooksiel (Zone 1) is subject to a visitor’s tax. Therefore, a visitor’s tax must be paid on site. This tax is based on the number of people, age, and length of stay. Information on the high and low seasons and the corresponding rates can be found on the Wangerland Touristik website.
The following are exempt from the visitor’s tax:
a) Children up to and including age 3.
b) Severely disabled persons whose “degree of disability” (formerly: reduced earning capacity) is 100% according to an official ID card.
c) Severely disabled persons who, according to their official ID card, are completely dependant on constant assistance (marked with a “B” on the ID card). This means: regardless of the degree of disability (e.g., GdB 80% and designation “B”).
d) Companions of severely disabled persons who, according to their official ID card, are completely dependant on constant assistance.
