"Our stay at this cabin was absolutely perfect! Having direct access to the Appalachian Trail just a short walk away made daily hikes incredibly easy, and our dog absolutely loved exploring the surrounding nature. After long days of hiking, our favorite ritual was winding down by the awesome firepit under the stars. The host was incredibly welcoming and provided excellent communication from start to finish, even giving us fantastic suggestions on the surrounding area that helped us find the best local spots. The cabin itself was cozy, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. We highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a peaceful, pet-friendly, mountain retreat and would love to stay here again! Thank you, Lisa!"

"Amazing property! Beautiful surroundings....stately trees, lush green lawn and heavenly quiet. The Schoolhouse is a perfect place to rewind, relax and reset! The architecture is intriguing and offers spaces to gather as a group or to seek solitude. The artwork and decorations are fascinating. The kitchen is to die for!!! The beds are comfortable and master bedrooms are spacious. My granddaughter LOVED her treehouse bed and adjacent game room. Spent three glorious days relaxing by the pool.....perfect spot to cool off, get some exercise and enjoy the privacy. Will certainly stay again. when in the area! Hunter is an excellent host.... readily available to respond to questions and provide assistance. Loved the old photos of the original schoolhouse and the opportunity to imagine what the original interior was like. So glad Hunter added decorative touches that honor the original intent of the structure. One has to experience this vacation venue to understand what a treat it was to spend time there!"

"Me and my family decided to book this house for my baby’s 1st birthday and the host was so sweet about it. It was such a memorable time we had there and I cry every time I think of us having to come back home. We did see bears for the first time so that was scary and amazing. The pool was so comfortable and clean. They had everything you needed and more especially when cooking or baking. They allowed me to celebrate the biggest milestone of a parent’s life and I just want to say thank you so much! I pray to soon stay one day. I do wish some things were a bit more taken care of but nothing crazy! The area is absolutely beautiful and not to far from the town which has so much to do and see! We also made a friend I believe it was a beaver and a few cardinals stopped by."

"Every aspect of our stay exceeded our expectations. Amazing staff, beautiful location, every thing carefully considered and executed. Breakfast put most restaurants to shame. This will be our go to anytime we visit the region. Highly recommended."

"We had a great stay! Doug was very responsive and helpful. The property was great; we saw deer, turkey, groundhogs, and various birds every day. The area around the property was beautiful as there is some incredible hiking with amazing views very near. The house itself was perfect for our group we have a large family and everyone had plenty of space. The kids all loved the pool and the hot tub. The only small issue we had is that the neighbor’s house is close to the pool and he’s very noise sensitive. But it wasn’t a big deal and we just made sure to try to keep the noise down as it got later. All in all, it was a great stay and we would definitely be back!"
