"We loved this hotel! The rooms were clean and the bed was very comfortable. The staff were fantastic and made every effort to make our stay wonderful. We loved the decor of the hotel as it suited the building and kept with the ski town vibe without playing into the mountain cliches of "The Mountains are Calling and I must go" decor that seems to be at every other hotel in the mountains. We also enjoyed the cedar sauna and breakfast.
Our 3 night stay was nearly perfect but unfortunately I am not sure we will return. Upon check in I found a piece of dog food in our room, not a big deal as our room was very clean. I asked the front desk if we were in a pet friendly room. She replied that the entire hotel is dog friendly. We love dogs; however, I am allergic to some breeds. The website does say pet friendly but when I booked I never booked a pet friendly room. It never crossed my mind that every room was pet friendly. Guest services did offer to come vacuum the room again but I didn't feel it was necessary as the room was clean. Unfortunately, pet dander gets deep into carpet and bedding and based on my puffy eyes each morning the previous residents most likely let little scruffy sleep on the bed with them.
If the Larix ever decides to make some of their 20 rooms not pet-friendly we will definitely be back. It is a special place for those people who don't have allergies. "
Meadow View Guest House, covered parking and only 10 minutes from ski hill
10/10 Excellent
"Wonderful stay! Highly recommend. Very clean, cozy and lots of thoughtful touches. Everything was in excellent condition in the kitchen, and they went the extra mile with little touches like fresh eggs, cream for our coffee, coffee pods and snacks for the ski hill. Would give 10 stars if I could. Beats a stuffy hotel room any day! "
