"Not a lot of options here, but the Majestic is grossly overpriced so the Lodge is your only option for a traditional hotel experience. Staff is hit or miss - some were great, some were very disinterested. Restaurant was decent but again, great busboy, lousy waitress. Rooms are comfortable but nothing special. Location is excellent for access to Valley activities."

"It was a great location, very close to the entrance to Yosemite. We really appreciated having a kitchen. It was very small, but still functional and useful. Since there are very few restaurants around El Portal, being able to cook our own meals was a big advantage. One thing to keep in mind is that you still have to drive into the park every day, and during busy times of the year, getting in can take quite a while. We visited before Memorial Day weekend, so fortunately we didn’t run into that issue."
