DC Retreat w/ Pvt Parking – Near Metro & Sights!

"We shared the house with extended family for a week, and it worked out well for us (4 parents, 2 teens, & 4 kids age 3-11). Everything was clean, and there was enough space for individuals to separate from the group when they needed some quiet time. The shower in the basement was wonderful, and there was plenty of hot water for both bathrooms at the same time, even for multiple showers in succession. A couple things to be aware of: the kitchen appliances are great, but the pots/pans available were pretty limited. If you plan to cook for a crowd, verify you'll have what you need. We brought our own instant pot to use while there. Also, the narrow alley in back made getting in & out of the parking spaces a tight fit length-wise for our minivan & extended-cab pickup truck, but still manageable. And it's a 5-minute walk to a bus stop, so we didn't have to use our vehicles much at all. Even the nearest metro station was a 15-20 minute walk, when we missed the bus. Overall, this house was a great "home base" for our joint family vacation."
