"We expected an old-style 2 story Drury Inn, and were amazed to find a 7 story, 3+ star full-service hotel for much a better price than much lower-rated motel properties in Cedar Rapids. Room and bed were great. Hot tub was a welcome experience at the end of a long day on the road. Full breakfast was excellent and well maintained. Staff were beyond friendly, including the hotel GM who was bussing tables during breakfast! This will be on our itinerary for our next trip through central Iowa!"

"This is a unique and peaceful property. We stay here when we visit our college daughter. It's a short commute (15 minutes or so) into Iowa City. The owners are easy to communicate with and responsive."

"We didn't realize that this home was built for veterans... a place for them to unwind, hunt, fish, and to enjoy their families and each other. The setting is beautiful with wide open space, a pond, walking areas, and is very tranquil. The home has two living areas and kitchens - perfect for large families - but very simple... almost humbling, knowing its true purpose. We (eight 61-69 yo siblings & spouses) definitely enjoyed our stay!"
