The property valet lost my key and it resulted not only us getting delayed and kids having to wait outside the lobby for 3 hours but also monetary losses for subsequent bookings which Hilton didn’t even care to acknowledge.

We arrived late Friday night 4/19 where we checked in and immediately went to sleep from the road trip. Upon waking in the morning my fiance attempted to make herself some coffee when saw coffee stains on the cup lid and coffee maker. She then attempted to shower which alerted her to the lime and grime in the shower and around the floor of the toilet. She immediately took pictures and addressed it to the front desk. I find it very unfair for someone to make a full payment for a used and partial ready room.

This is the third time I have stayed at the Capitol Hilton and cannot think of a reason to go another hotel. Rooms are in excellent condition; staff are kind and courteous. Location cannot be beat.

Staff were nice and helpful especially if you have a dog. Very pet friendly and the family suite is huge! The valet parking is expensive but that everywhere in DC. Also took 30 min to get your car at check out so its convenient that they communicate thru text with you if you want the car ready when u come down. I just wish the bathroom has an exhaust and needs more rods for hanging towels and clothes (only hav one). The hotel looks newly renovated, no pool but has a gym. CVS is also right next door which was great! Very walkable to the white house! Would love to come back!

I had a rough experience. When I arrived at 11:00 pm, there was no room available/over booked. They sent me to Timbuktu / Rockville. The staff person said it would take $5 minutes to get to my alternate hotel for night 1. I wasn’t given a choice to book something closer. What actually happened was it took 30 min to get there, 55 minutes to return the next day. I only got 4.5 hours sleep. I was late for my first leg visit of the day. Theresa was the only staff person who made this experience better. If not for her I would have given 2 stars. She gave me: free bfast, free glass of wine, late checkout. I wasn’t charged for the first night and reimbursed for the Uber rides to and from Rockville. Would I stay here again? Probably. I’m just more tired than I should be at the end of the trip and I was late for an impt mtg. I left this review to give a huge shout out for Theresa!

Great area. But terrible service. Front desk people are really nice. But no hand soap in the bathroom and no one picks up the phone when calling for extra coffee cups and hand soap
Seems like they are too busy to pick up the phone. Called 15 times in a 4 hour period and no one picked up in housekeeping, room service or front desk. Used shower gel for hand soap then !

The hotel allows dogs (probably all pets in general) and I love dogs, but when you’re trying to rest and a dog is barking in the next room it not so pleasant. Extremely over priced breakfast (~$32 per person) and a limited selection of food, with staff on a rush to get you out there. The hotel is very nice, over all, the parking is very limited but there is a garage within a block or two. Overall, not the worst but very far from top tier.

Everything was excellent, except the 'Oh, by the way, there's a $25 surcharge we have to put on your bill, but here's a voucher you can use at the restaurant to offset it, oh, there's your final bill and we didn't offset it."
For the price that I paid in this hotel it lacked many essential things. There was nowhere to find water and the one available was sold at a high price. Parking was advertised at one price, but it ended being more at the counter. There were also hidden fees that were not mentioned during the booking. Will not recommend or stay at this place again.
