Contemporary Condo in Shaw/U Street

Summary:
This modern condo has three very large bedrooms with queen beds, two baths, floor to ceiling windows, a newly renovated walk-out back patio, kitchen, and living room. Top off that contemporary luxury with all of the conveniences you are looking for. The condo is one block away from the metro, which can get you near the Capitol in under 15 minutes. Not to forget that the condo is surrounded by the city's best bars, shops, and restaurants in the popular U Street/Shaw neighborhoods!

The Space:
This posting is for the whole bottom floor of this building, with its own private entrance. This whole unit was completely renovated to provide the newest furnishings, nearly 10 foot ceilings, large windows, and even sound proofing to reduce outside noise. The 3 bedrooms are large and each have a queen bed, but just in case you need sleeping space for more guests, I would be happy to provide a fourth air mattress. The back patio is amazing and that is the only shared space as I can also access it from my unit, so hopefully we can say hi. The kitchen was also just remodeled and includes a large fridge, dishwasher, sink, microwave, small toaster/convection oven, and coffee machine. It does not have a stove or full oven, however. There is amazing access to food all around the building - feel free to ask for recommendations. I hope that you enjoy your stay!

Guest Access:
There is a family living upstairs. Please note that the everyday sounds and noises of family life (footsteps, stairs, kids playing, etc.) can be heard in both directions. You will undoubtedly hear them (and they will hear you) as they go about their everyday life.

The Neighborhood:
This condo is near some of the best restaurants and nightlife in the city (I am happy to provide recommendations!). It is lively on weekend nights! There is a Whole Foods 5 minutes away and a number of great music venues nearby. Don't forget to stop by Compass Coffee right next door, their coffee is great.

Getting Around:
The condo does not have dedicated parking, but there is street parking all around the building and there is a public parking garage at the Atlantic Plumbing building right up the street if that helps. The metro is also just one block away, which will help you explore the rest of the city too!

Perfect location.
We stayed here for a housing symposium with our networking group and it was perfect. It was easy to get around and so much to walk to. We loved the neighborhoods and looking at the architecture.

Close to metro one direction. The walk to the metro not the best area. But the walk the other direction is great. Wonderful market across the street. Many great restaurants nearby within walking distances. The apartment is very nice. Living are is a bit small for 6 adults but manageable. We had a wonderful visit.

Wonderful Rental in a fun neighborhood!
My 3 girlfriends and I were in town for a little college reunion (we are all over 50) and LOVED this rental. It was so comfortable, clean and close to everything. The hosts were amazing too. Highly recommend!!!

Great Location!
Well appointed basement apartment, comfy beds, easy to sleep in. The location is wonderful, so many great options nearby, close to the Green Line Metro, fun neighborhood gay bars. It was too cold to enjoy the outdoor space, but I can envision the patio being a nice hangout spot in warmer times.
