Large studio close to metro in Eckington/Shaw

This private Studio apt is located in the heart of DC, close to everything DC has to offer, we are short 7-10min walk to the metro station and a 5min walk to over 10 restaurants within the area. It's a great spot for someone who just wants to enjoy the city for a few days. The unit is very warm and cozy and has a great gem of an outdoor space for enjoying the sites and sounds of the city. There is only street parking, however, you can park on either side of the street without restriction. The unit has a half kitchen, no stove but has a microwave and toaster oven for use. It has one full bath with a shower. Just 4 blocks from the Shaw/Howard U. Metro, this modern English basement apt., with high ceilings is a walkable spot to a gourmet grocery store, bars, restaurants, the Convention Center, and Chinatown. The home has exposed brick, just 5 metro stops to the White House, the Mall, and museums. The Shaw neighborhood is vibrant, constantly changing, and full of diversity and young people. 15 mins to Washington Hospital Center, Howard University Hospital, Children's Hospital, and VA Hospital Center. A great value with an experienced & DC-licensed host! I try to say hello at least once during the visit. In general, I give guests privacy unless there is a question. SLEEPS A MAXIMUM OF 2 ADULTS. Great weekend getaway

Great little place for a short stay!

For never had been to DC before, I have to say we hit the jackpot with this VRBO. Located perfectly out of the way of the hustle of the city but close enough to Uber or rent a car to enjoy what the city has to offer.

This is a comfortable, well appointed, spacious studio with a small kitchen. Roydell included snacks, a selection of teas, and coffee. It was impeccably clean. He was charming and very helpful in giving walking directions. The neighborhood is good; people I encountered were friendly. I will return!!

Great property, great host!

Everything in the apartment was as promised. Clean and well furnished, complete with water in the fridge and snacks. Perfect for the location with a short walk to Metro and Big Bear restaurant. We would definitely stay there again if we come back to DC.

Overall, everything was great! Roy fell was easy to get into contact with. There were plenty of places to eat within walking distance. The check-in/out process was very quick and easy. Overall a great place to stay just outside of downtown

four day visiting the sights of Washington

Our accommodation for our Washington visit was ideal for what we needed and in a very good location. Close to the Metro stations even though we just walked to most of our destinations. We had everything we needed, it was quiet, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom clean and we slept well.

Great place for weekend visit

My husband and I stayed here while we visited DC for the weekend. Easy walking distance to the metro and other restaurants. The apartment was clean and as described in the listing. Roydell is a great host and it was easy to get a hold of him when we had questions.

Enjoyable stay

My wife and I found the apartment very comfy and cozy, and handy to the Metro, shops and restaurants, as well as to the meeting that I attended at the DC Convention Center. The host Roydell was very helpful and obliging. I would certainly come back again and recommend it to others.

Best VRBO Experience Ever!

This Studio is absolutely perfect for two people. It is furnished beautifully without being overdone and has everything you could possibly need. We were even provided bottled water and a basket of snacks. The linens were fresh and of great quality. The location for our event (wedding reception at Big Bear Cafe) was perfect. Roydell was a dream host, so welcoming and kind. The rate is very reasonable for the area, plus there is on-street parking. Wow! I highly recommend Roydell and this Studio!

Perfect stay

The place was just as presented on VRBO. Super clean and well appointed. The bed and futon was comfortable. Linens and towels were of good quality. Roydell was extremely helpful with luggage and directions to nearby places. We enjoyed two restaurants in walking distance: DCity Smokehouse and Big Bear Cafe. The size of the place was perfect for the three of us. We will definitely stay here again when traveling to Dc.

Fantastic place to stay!

Close to restaurants, a brewery, small grocery store and the Metro. All within short walking distance. Roydell was fantastic. He met us when we got there and gave us all the info we needed to get around DC. The studio apt had everything we needed. Clean, comfy bed AND he included a diffuser with the hairdryer! Will definitely stay there again.

For starters, Roydell allowed us to check in early as we were coming from the train, with our luggage. This was greatly appreciated! The studio was clean, stocked with essentials, very comfortable bed. We found it easy to walk or bike to the National Mall. Thank you for the positive interactions and perfect studio for our stay.
