The stay was pleasant. The host was very responsive and made sure everything went well. The area is very close the to red line and the neighborhood seemed safe.
Host was very responsive and accommodating. We were permitted to check in early; and on our day of departure, we had car issues and were allowed to stay past check out while getting them resolved.Location is relatively near two metro stops, making it easy to get around the city. There is a nice brewery a few blocks away. And the metropolitan branch trail made walking between locales simple. We would absolutely stay again!
We really enjoyed our stay at this place. Location is walkable to many places. There are 3 bedrooms with an air conditioner in the master bedroom. There are ceiling fans in the other bedrooms, the upstairs hallway, and in the living room. Even with the fans, it was still pretty hot upstairs on really warm days. The host did a nice job of communicating information and responding. Also, the host was straightforward with information about the house and bedrooms which I really appreciated.
Extremely Convenient location, Uncomfortably Hot Place
The location was close to everything we wanted to see & do. It felt safe & friendly. Street parking was easy to find. The owner needs to apply for & provide guest parking permits since it’s required in the area. The interior was nicely decorated & appeared clean. While the floors looked clean, our crawler’s knees & feet were black after being on the floor. The kitchenette was cluttered with boxes & basic essentials were missing—no potholders, only large yard trashbags & the overhead lights in the dining room & bedroom didn’t work.We found a large bag of dirty towels in the main bedroom’s closet & no clean towels for us to use. Mostly used soap was provided & none of us felt comfortable using it. Unlike other VRBOs, this property lacked welcoming touches like a note with check-in instructions or helpful information about the house. The biggest issue was the lack of central air conditioning. During an excessive heat warning, the home was unbearably hot—reaching 86 degrees inside. There was only one window A/C unit, located in the upstairs main bedroom. This made it very difficult to do anything. My daughter left after the first night. To help lower the temperature of the entire house, the bedroom door needed to remain open at all times. The large ceiling fans were not enough given the extreme temperatures. This property has potential with its location & decor, but it needs better upkeep, clearer communication & a few key improvements to be a truly comfortable & welcoming stay.
