We had a terrible stay at the sonder in Georgetown. We arrived and our room reeked of cigarette smoke. The air conditioning also did not work. We called immediately and while customer service answered, they did not provide a solution. They said someone would come to our unit to assess the situation but they didn’t come. When we arrived back at the apartment there was still no AC and no solution to cigarette smoke. Someone came at 1 AM as we could not sleep in the unbearable heat (it was 80 degrees outside). They sprayed Fabreeze to get rid of the smoke smell?? No fix to the AC. They finally arrived the next day (Saturday) to fix the AC after we called A THIRD time. The AC worked for about 2 hours — no AC the second night either. Absolute nightmare of an experience and makes me wonder if anyone cleaned the room at all if they didn’t notice all of these issues. We are SO disappointed. The location was great but we would never stay again - awful.

Nice big one bedroom apartment with kitchen. Some items were not functioning, like the coffee pot and closet door, but Sonder staff fixed those quickly. Overall the idea is self-service and automation, which reduces cost, and that works for us. The laundry room was great, along with the storage lockers downstairs for pre or post-stay.

The area is excellent! The hotel entrance is dirty, and my room needs to be updated; the paint is peeling, the toilet seat is loose, and overall, it is updated to match the pictures on the website. I was very disappointed with my stay.

The unit we rent is one bed apartment with sofa bed in the living room. The living room has no block out curtain, It was too bright at night. It has no different between day and night, I could not sleep the entire 4 nights. On the second day, I talked to the reception and request to exchange the room. They told me that they will think about something but I didn’t hear anything until we left.
