Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
nice location, clean room, nice dinner option next door
It was a cool house built in 1839, overlooking the river. Beautiful and peaceful. Close to restaurants and shopping. We had a great meal in the house restaurant and they have a full bar. The inn is newer, great bed and bathroom. Loved our weekend.
This Inn was very comfortable and exceptionally clean and well taken care of. The private club attached and open to all who stay at the Inn was really nice and served great pizza. Beds were very nice.Would definitely stay again!!
Overall we really liked the place. The room had everything we needed. The restaurant was good, food was good, and staff was very good with our little guy.
The self check in, I am not a fan, I am a fan of personal service as a major contributor to an excellent experience, and that was missing. The AC unit in the room was loud enough to wake us up several times throughout the night.
Ultimately we are satisfied with our stay and would totally stay here again, but couldn’t give it five stars on every category.
What we liked:
-location: we walked to downtown area from here
-quiet: for a holiday weekend, not many were staying here so we had no neighbors.
-Easy: easy to check in/out
-met our needs for a one night stay
- loved the town and the local wineries
What we disliked:
- bed was ok, pillows were flat
- light comes in the room all night
- no where to get ice or vending (that we saw)
The location is perfect, with a nice view of the river. Excellent restraint/bar and within walking distance of a lot to see and do. The hotel was super clean and check-in was simple. Two main problems: no hot water and WiFi was down. There is no front desk to report issues and we felt bad considering this to the level of calling the emergency number, especially since we had limited time to wait for someone to arrive for fixes.
Very nice property and except for an occasional train it was very quiet location. We have stayed at a couple other locations in Washington and the traffic noise was terrible, not so at this property. Great view of the Missouri River and close to all the activities on Front Street. A couple little amenities could be added but nothing that we couldn’t do without. Will definitely stay here again.
Quaint inn with a clubhouse next door for drinks, pizza and snacks. Nice outdoor seating at clubhouse with view of the river. This is about a 2 block walk away from three restaurants. Would stay again.
The Inn itself is beautiful with a great view of river. The bed itself was so comfortable, but the pillows were too hard and flat. Would definitely come back!
The rooms were self check in, which in my case was very convenient as we were running late for a concert at the fair. The room was quiet, clean, and really nice. Had one of the most comfortable beds in it. Private parking was a definite plus.
The Elijah inn bar and food area was so cute for the holidays. Pizza was really good! Staff was amazing. We felt like we were in a Hallmark Movie. We had a great time there with a group for a wedding. So many places to drink, eat and shop around the Inn. The trains going by and the river view was a bonus!!!
Great location, great property! People were very nice, and the location really can't be beat.
4 stars on service ONLY because they don't clean every day, we weren't able to get folks in the office when we had some questions, and the TV was funky and weren't able to watch a local game (that was available). Honestly, 4.5 would be better.
This Inn is very much no frills, but is done in a very tasteful way, and if you are not looking for a bed and breakfast atmosphere (which my wife and I were not!) then it is great for a night away. We stayed there for my wife's 40th birthday trip to the wineries across the river in Augusta/Defiance and the location was perfect for that. It is self check-in - we didn't interact with any staff during our stay at all. We were also within a very reasonable walking distance to the center of town and some nice restaurants. Parking was free and plentiful. The room had everything that you would expect to find in a hotel room - fridge, iron, small coffee maker. Bed was a bit too soft for my wife's taste, but it didn't really bother me. Water pressure in the shower could have done with being improved. All in all, I would recommend the property and would book again.
The room was nice, clean, bed was comfy. But, we were not able to regulate the room temp as they have the thermostat locked, also no bath mat to step out on after a shower.
