We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again! Balston neighborhood was very walkable from this property. Convenient short walk to the metro, shipping, and restaurants.
When we began looking for properties for this trip, our priority was something within walking distance to a Metro station. It was an easy 14-minute walk to the nearest station. The home was also well-kept and had all the necessary amenities. We enjoyed our stay!

Pungent air fresheners. Otherwise great. Perfect location for our needs.
We had 4 adults and 4 kids and had plenty of room. Everything was clean and well maintained. Easy check in, close to the metro and highway so it was a great location
We have a large-ish group on a family vacation. We had two kids who comfortably had their own rooms. The location is the best part! It is an older house so in the winter the heat/cold varied across the bedrooms as is pretty usual in the houses in the area but overall it was easily managed! Great communication with the host and had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again!
The seven of us (ages 22mo-68y) enjoyed our stay! A short 15 minute walk to the metro and restaurants. Very quiet in the evenings, even though it is adjacent to a main highway. Remember that it is an old house, but that gives it so much charm! Very clean and comfortable! A great home away from home while seeing the Washington DC sites.
The house was as described, clean, and in a great neighborhood. Walking distance to metro & bus stops. Host was communicative and gave clear instructions. They checked in during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed.
Our family enjoyed staying in this home. It had everything we needed. Metro was a few blocks from the house as was a grocery store and a few places to dine. A couple minor touchups and repairs would make this place perfect (front yard could use a little TLC; door knob on bedroom door pulled out but was still usable). Overall was a great place and would stay again.
There were plenty of rooms with comfortable beds to house our family, with a great living & dining area to gather together. A short walk to the Metro gave us access to everything we wanted to get to in the city. The kids enjoyed the park, which was a quick two-block walk away. The kitchen was small, but had everything we needed. Our host was responsive, check in and out was easy. If we’re ever in DC again, this will be our first choice!
The house was perfect for what we needed. There was plenty of parking and the house was easy to find. Our questions were answered promptly. It was clean and had plenty of space for our group of 7. Kitchen is small but we didn’t cook much so it was not an issue. With 3 teenage girls, we had no issues with hot water for showers.
It's clean and in a very convenient area. You are minutes from anywhere you want to be, including the metro. It has everything you need but minimally. The kitchen is a hall space small, but works for a short stay. Overall, I would use the property again. The check in was a breeze. It was easy to get a hold of the property owner and coffee and toiletries were provided. Nice.
Our stay couldn’t have been more enjoyable! The warm and welcoming property was easy to find, and the check-in process was very easy. The property was well appointed, and had so many thoughtful details! We loved the large screen tvs in multiple rooms, the terrific A/C and the kitchen stocked with virtually everything we needed to prepare breakfasts and dinner for our large family. The property is very kid friendly, with lots of sleeping options. The neighborhood was convenient to shopping and restaurants, and felt very safe.
Kelly, our host, was very responsive, and cheery! We’re very grateful to her for her hospitality and understanding.
All in all, this house was the perfect perch from which our family enjoyed our Washington DC reunion.
Almost everything was fine with the home. We felt safe. Communication with host was great. Plenty of towels and linens. Clean throughout. Maintained yard. The only problem which was huge for us: The kitchen was super small. It also housed the stacked washer and dryer. With a large family trying to cook meals in, it was not a good set up.
Our family of 5 booked a few days to visit DC and found this home with many great reviews. Glad we did! Kelly is very responsive and hospitable, answering questions, and providing extra information as needed. The home is cozy and clean. All the beds were comfortable with plenty of linens provided. There was ample space for more guests to sleep if our kids had brought friends. We were within walking distance to beautiful Arlington, but we drove and Uber'd everywhere due to weather. There is road noise, but there were at least 5 fans available for everyone to use at night to drown out the noise. Will stay again if we get another chance to explore DC and Arlington!

Clean but Deceivingly Small and Old
This property was clean and although you had almost no yard and backside to a very busy street it was reasonably located. The house had an extremely small galley kitchen and first floor bathroom is a jack n Jill which was small. Being as old as it is, there is no electrical outlets in bathroom and one extension cord you use in kitchen for microwave and toaster. The twin beds in first floor bedroom hide the heat vents so it was cold in our bedroom. It’s a 20 min walk to closest metro station and about the same to decent food.
This adorable home was perfect for our group of 7 - 2 adults and 5 kids aged 6-16. The tiny kitchen was well-stocked with whatever we needed for cooking and eating. They made use of every square inch of the space. All appliances worked well and there was also a washer drier combo there as well.
The dining table fit us perfectly.
The living room had ample, comfortable seating and a smart tv for the bit of downtime that we took advantage of.
Beds were very comfortable. More so than any VRBO home we have stayed in. Hubby and I took the upstairs ‘suite’ for our own space. Kids spread out in the bedrooms downstairs and one in the den on the convertible bed.
We walked to Ballston Metro daily - about 15 mins. Very convenient. Ballston area had great restaurants and grocery.
The park at the end of the road was perfect for running out energy. The neighborhood felt really safe and anyone that walked by was really friendly.
The ONLY negative was that the side of the house is on a Main Street with a hospital down the road so lots of ambulances went by. We utilized fans in rooms for some white noise. Our exhaustion after exploring DC all day was usually enough to sleep through it though.
Would definitely stay here if coming to the DC area again.
Location was perfect for our itinerary. Coffee shops, restaurants and the metro were all in walking distance if that was your preferred method of travel.
