"The outside of the buildings looked a little old, but inside, it was very clean and very comfortable with an impressive amount of helpful appliances for food and temperature/humidity comfort. The shower and bedroom were particularly nice.
I would have given this hotel a perfect 5 star rating, but unfortunately the bedroom window (Room #7) faced a separate residential house that had many very loud and annoying dogs that barked every day from 6am to 12pm without stopping. It was very hard to get...

"We stayed the hotel as the closest one to our last destination on the day. We preferred the one with hot springs but we discovered it has man-made hotspring which was good enough for me to enjoy. The hotel seems to be popular for male businessmen much less female guests so that the I had a big public bath on my own. You find many choices for breakfast and you can get Japanese news paper as Free of charge. The hotel is at on a aroute 17. If you travl a car, the hotel can be convenient stay."

"The location is excellent, just a quick four minute walk from Ikebukuro Station, and there’s a 7-Eleven right downstairs which makes everything super convenient.
The room was clean and had all the essentials, but the building itself feels a little rundown, especially the elevator and hallways.
The lighting throughout the hotel is also quite dark, which gives it a slightly older feel.
The bed was firm, which is pretty common in Japan, but from a North American perspective it might feel hard or uncomfortable if you have a sensitive back like me. I recommend asking for an extra duvet to make it softer and more cushioned.
The staff were kind and helpful, and overall it was a decent stay in a great location for exploring Ikebukuro and beyond."
"I stayed here for about 1 week on a solo trip through Tokyo. The room was small but I really enjoyed the cleanliness and quality, and all of the staff i interacted with were very kind and professional! I'll definitely stay at this hotel again next time I return to Japan!"
"Out of the five hotels l stayed in during this trip around Japan the Wakoshi Tobu Hotel was easily my favourite. The room was very clean and very comfortable, also very nicely decorated. The room was larger than what l've come to expect in Japanese hotels. Overall l've stayed in hotels costing very much more which were not as nice as the Wakoshi Tobu Hotel and l would definitely stay here again on a future trip to the area.
The R Baker on the ground floor of the building is a great place for breakfast. "
"We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at this property. It was well-equipped with all the essentials and amenities we could possibly need, making our visit very comfortable. The train station was just a short walk—literally only a few steps—from the property, which made commuting very convenient. We also discovered a store similar to Walmart/Target nearby, just around the corner, which was perfect for quick grocery runs. The neighborhood is a good area for shopping, offering a more relaxed atmosphere without the hustle and bustle of crowded city centers. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely choose to stay here again in the future. "
