Perfect lake front cottage! Now with stairs to the water!

  • Nestled on a private mountain top overlooking Pickwick lake. This cottage was recently completely remodeled and offers the most relaxing stay. This property has beautiful lake views and its secluded spot on the lake, right across from bear creek, will be the perfect lake getaway for a couple or a small family. We have just added stairs down to the water! We also added a dock and a gazebo with amazing views.
    There are two public boat ramps conveniently located 5 minutes ( less than a mile ) from property.

Great Getaway!

This beautiful cottage was the perfect getaway. My husband and I spent our anniversary week here with our two dogs and loved every minute of it. The view was amazing and the stay was relaxing. The cottage was clean & our host was very helpful. I would recommend staying here.

Relaxing Holiday Break

We enjoyed our stay the property was very clean, and the views were amazing. This was just what we needed following the busy holiday season. The property owner was very responsive when I messaged her and that was greatly appreciated.We look forward to staying there again during the summer to utilize the river access.

My husband and I had the most amazing weekend here! The view from the house was so beautiful. We also brought our boat. The launch was a 3 minute drive away from the house. Launching the boat and keeping it at the house was easy and convenient. It is the perfect weekend getaway.

Perfect for what we needed.

Me and my wife came up from central Alabama to stay to fish Pickwick everything was great with the property never had to contact the property managers but had plenty of instruction if we needed to we stayed March 14th-16th and we caught catfish off the dock with no issues probably close to 50lbs worth in one evening cabin was perfect for what we needed.

Perfect little A Frame for a weekend getaway. The host was extremely helpful and the view was amazing. We would definitely stay again! Some reviews mentioned that there was no where close to buy items you might have forgotten but I thought I noticed a little market a mile or two into town.

Perfect lake cottage

We loved the cottage, it was perfect! We loved watching the sunset and the moonlight at night was beautiful on the water. The stairs leading down to the water was so nice the 2 different levels to enjoy! We plan on coming back in the summertime. Thank you to our hosts, they both were so kind!

Heaven on Earth

We had the most wonderful and very special stay at the cabin. The hosts were extremely helpful before we arrived, they answered questions swiftly and gave great recommendations. The view takes your breath away and I got up every morning to watch the sunrise and listen to the wildlife, it was very special and made leaving today very difficult. The cabin is lovely and well kitted out, it had everything we needed. I really could not recommend this place and the hosts enough, amazing, thank you.

Beautiful Views

The view of Pickwick Lake is absolute perfection, especially sunrise. The rental was exactly as described. Clean. We had an issue checking in with the code box. I contacted the owner and she sent someone over immediately. We were in within 20 minutes. Very pleased with our stay! We will stay here again in the future.

Waterloo cabin

This was our first experience with VRBO, and we were very pleased. The cabin was perfect for us two, and our small family gathering. The stairs to the water were a bit more than we expected, but there is a small deck halfway up perfect for a quick rest. The website gave us the wrong address initially, which set us back a bit, but with some prompt communication with the host, it was remedied and we were on our way. Definitely worth it!!

Rented this for a couple nights on our anniversary trip down the Natchez Trace. What a super cute little cottage. Perfect for the two of us but there would have been room for the kids too. We wanted something quiet - and it was. Gorgeous sunrises and sunsets. A little sketch getting down that gravel drive on the motorcycle is my only thing negative that I can say. Would def recommend. Comfy bed, clean and the AC was crankin when we arrived after a long hot day on the bike.

This cabin was an amazing escape! Beautiful sunsets in the morning and refreshing views sitting by the water. The space was perfect for a short get away. I’d recommend bringing all the food you want to cook as stores are not close and you’ll want to soak up all the time by the water and by a cozy fire! The hosts responded quickly to all questions and the cabin had everything we needed. Will definitely be returning to stay again in the future!
