"We booked a family suite at Stardust Motel for one night as it was conveniently located close to Halifax Airport. The staff was extremely helpful, and she made the check-in process and other formalities very easy for us. However, there was only one AC unit in the living room, and the bedroom did not have any AC. The bedroom felt quite hot and stuffy during our stay. Unfortunately, the room also had a noticeable cigar smell, which made the stay less comfortable. Overall, the helpful staff and convenient location were positives, but the lack of AC in the bedroom and the cigar smell were disappointing."

"Some people may shy away from a property in a new community so far from downtown. Too bad if they do because the property was close via good highway connections to downtown Halifax, the suburbs, the airport, Peggy's Cove and everything else. Yes, it is not on a main street but my WAZE program took me right there from three different directions.And as someone who likes hiking in the woods Bala's property is right next to Blue Mountain Preserve. Gorgeous woods! Comfortable bed!!Not a full kitchen but I didn't want to spend my time cooking, anyway. I stocked up on reheat-able food and enjoyed myself.This is a place I would be glad to pay a return visit."

"The place was super cute and had all amenities as-advertised, although the Wi-Fi was virtually non-existent inside the unit. I was able to get a strong signal just outside in the driveway FWIW.We stayed there late June-early July knowing there was no AC, but a fan was provided and the room cooled off well at night. Unfortunately we couldn't do anything about the humidity which left the floors feeling sticky and the bathroom smelling a little damp. The exhaust fan and rugs on the floors helped.Only real complaint was that the place didn't appear to have been thoroughly cleaned before we got there. There were dirty towels in the hamper, the shower was a bit dirty and the dryer lint trap was overflowing. Other than that, the place was clean and welcoming.The neighborhood was quiet and felt safe, even at night. The Halifax transit system is easily accessible as there is a bus stop just a couple of short blocks away. All-in-all, I would stay there again, though maybe not in the middle of Summer. I would have taken the bed home with me, it was so comfortable! Our host was kind and easy to communicate with and the price was right. Next time I would rent a car though - it's an hour one-way to downtown Halifax by bus."

"We had a lovely stay. It’s not too far away from amenities which was nice. It was a cozy quiet neighbourhood, however sometimes parking was limited.The room itself was pretty comfortable and tidy. The bathroom came with soaps and had lots of towels, plus the kitchen had utensils/dish ware available. Only issue is we only had one roll of toilet paper, and there were no coffee filters for the coffee maker.The host was super friendly and didn’t take long to respond. If we were ever in the area again in the future, we would totally choose to stay at this location again!"
