The house was comfortable for our group of six. Plenty of beds and the three bathrooms was great for getting ready to get ready to be out wine tasting all day. Walking distance to downtown for some good shopping. Lake was only a block away.
Our stay was perfect! Plenty of space for our group. And the location cannot be beat. Had 2 minor issues and the property manager could not have responded better or faster. 10/5 stars for that! Will definitely try to stay here again next time.
Stayed for a long weekend. Host was easy to get a hold of and answered all of our questions. This is the 3rd year in a row that we stayed at this residence. Other family members rented suite A and we were in suite B. Perfect location as its a short walk to the lake, resturants and bars. This house is very clean with all the standard ammentities you can ask for. Looking forward to another stay next year.
I am late to submit this review but wanted to get it posted. There are 4 of us that have been coming to WG for the race weekend. We convinced 2 others that the experience is worth their 7 hr drive! We needed a place in town and this was the place! It was clean, comfortable and the response time to any questions were great! It was a beautiful weekend so the only thing we missed out on was chairs to sit outside. There was a picnic table but some chair would have been great. We will be looking to stay here again next year! Thank you!
We enjoyed our stay. Our family occupied both sides of this house. The location is great for walking to town and lots of activities. Also great for driving to wineries. The decor is very basic but served our purpose. The A/C on the second floor was in the hallway which was useless when the bedroom doors were closed. We tried to install the window unit from the closet but were unsuccessful. I would suggest bringing camp chairs if planning to use the outdoor space. There is one picnic table available.
There were 8 adults (4 couples) in our group. The house was as described in the listing. Easy walk to Franklin Street and Seneca Lake. The kitchen/living area had plenty of room for our group when we were hanging at the house. There were people staying in the other half of the house, but we never heard them. The 4 bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths were a perfect setup for our group.
The entrance door/lock was a tad finicky, but not worth complaining about. The carpet was stained, but seemed clean. Again, notable but not worth a complaint. A deck or patio would be a nice upgrade to this property.
Overall, it was a great accommodation for our short 2 night stay. The communication with property manager was speedy and thorough. Our group agreed that we would return to this property if we stay in Watkins Glen again.
The location is walkable to everything. The place was clean, except for the carpets. The carpets are in desperate need of cleaning or replacing. Beds were so so on the comfort level. No central ac or heat. There is an ac/heater downstairs, 1 in the hall on the 2nd floor and just tiny space heaters in the 2 bedrooms upstairs. Appeared to be a couple of window AC units in the closets. So during really warm days or cold nites, you may need to leave your bedroom doors open to get cool air or heat. 1 bedroom on the 2nd floor had no place to hang clothes. It was fine for just 2 of us as we took one of the small heaters into the bedroom. There are plenty of dishes like plates and wine glasses, but they had only 1 tiny frying pan, so if you are a large group, you aren't going to be making breakfast very easily. Easy check in and the management company is very attentive when needed. When we got there and turned the heater on the 2nd floor on, it set off the smoke detectors and smelled like it was burning. They sent someone over within the hour to take care of it.
We enjoyed a nice stay at this rental. The location is great and you can walk to many restaurants nearby. The rental is spacious and spans 3 floors (kitchen, dining room, living room, 1/2 bathroom are on first floor, 2 bedrooms and a full bathroom are on the 2nd floor and 2 more bedrooms and full bathroom are on the top floor.) They had hand soap in all bathrooms, but you will need to bring your own soap/shampoo for the showers. Although the house was quite clean, there is noticeable heavy staining on the carpets and top floor shower. There is a Walmart about 1/2 mile away that you can get your groceries at or Tops Friendly Market, about 1 mile away. We cooked breakfast at the rental and ate out for lunch and dinner, which worked out great. I would highly recommend the following restaurants: Thai Elephants, Jerlando's Ristorante & Pizza and Holy Cow Deli. We also enjoyed the following two downtown stores: Crystal City Olive Oil and FiberArts in the Glen (for the crocheters/knitters). The race track is about a 15 minute drive (no traffic). Regarding parking at the rental, although there could be room for four cars (two per unit and if compact size and parked two side-by-side and two deep), there was parking on the street in front of the unit. Someone else rented the other unit and took up most of the entire driveway forcing us to park on the street. Annoying, but not a showstopper. Check-in/out was easy. The host is extremely responsive and emails prior/after our stay

Overall, we had a good stay and would stay here again.
We rented this unit for our family to stay at while in town for our daughter's wedding. The location was very convenient to walk throughout town to eat, shop, and sight-see, and even to walk to the State Park for a day hike. We didn't cook any meals while there - but did bake a few things - however, we brought our own bowls, mixer, baking pans, and utensils because we weren't sure if the unit would have what we needed. I did look at what was provided in the cabinets and drawers - but since we didn't use anything (except maybe a knife and a few coffee cups), I really can't comment on the quality or sufficiency of the provided items except to say that there appeared to be a variety of items supplied in the kitchen. (If you are picky about your cooking supplies, just bring your own if you have room - - or there is a Walmart really close by.) The kitchen sink was a bit small, making it interesting to wash larger items (like baking pans, etc.) but it worked - just got water on the counter a few times. The mattress on one of the beds in the room with two beds sloped down a good bit on one side, but we didn't roll out of it, LOL! One of the upstairs bedroom doors didn't lock, but not a big deal. Aside from the stained carpet in several places, the house was clean otherwise. It served our purpose - provided us with a safe, clean place for family to stay when they weren't at the rehearsal, wedding, sight-seeing, etc.
Great location, kitchen good maybe could use a toaster oven, pair of scissors and a couple of better knives, carpet could have been cleaner, but all and all would recommend and would return
Enjoyed the space, clean but picture did not match the property - very misleading. They listed a Keurig machine, it was not. K cups would not fit. Not closets in every bedroom.

Nice
The half of house we rented was clean & nice. Door wasn't easy to open or close thru keypad. Location was very convenient. More mirrors would be great.

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Air conditioner for 2nd floor is in the hallway.
Lacks quality and number of towels for 7 guests
Lacks closet space or storage in bedrooms
Several broken chairs for dining table
Rugs should be cleaned
Shower curtains in bathroom dirty & don’t sufficiently do the job.
The location was perfect, but cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The carpets are in desperate need of cleaning and the bathrooms weren't as clean as we'd expected - there was hair on the shower wall in the second-floor bathroom and the floor in the third-floor bathroom was filthy. Also, the kitchen was not stocked well at all. There are enough beds for 10 people, but there wasn't a frying pan larger than 6" or even a spatula to be found. I ended up purchasing some so I could fix breakfast for the three of us. No colander, no cutting boards and the few large knives that are there are in dire need of sharpening. There's a limited number of utensils. The closets all had fans, heaters and air conditioners in them, so they had limited space. Only one dresser in any of the four bedrooms. Only one TV in any of the four bedrooms. The sheets were stained (gross!). No washer or dryer on site or else I would have washed them again before we used them. We tried to remove our trash about halfway through our five-day stay and both trashcans were full (I don't know if it's because the unit next door had several people and a party going on, or if the trash hadn't been taken out in a while). The BBQ grill was left dirty from a previous stay, so I had to clean it before I could use it. The lodging fulfilled the need for a place to stay while there, but I would not rent this location again.

Perfect for what we needed
Taryn was great with the reservation process. The property was very comfortable for all of us and close to the hotel where the wedding we were attending was being held. I would just recommend some extra pillows and some more fans. I'm from Arizona where there is central air everywhere, so we were a little warm on the higher floors with the hallway air unit. That doesn't reflect on the property though, more of this desert dweller. I would definitely stay again. There are a lot of upgrades to the fixtures and furniture. The neighborhood looks a little older but the inside of this house is very modern.

Beautifully decorated but has some oddities
This property worked well for the group we had and we had a great weekend. But, there were some odd things going on with this property. You could not go in or out without bolting the door with the deadbolt . That is absolutely the only way the door stays closed. It was negative numbers outside so door had to stay bolted at all times. The kitchen sink was ridiculously small for trying to wash anything large. But it was clean, warm, and worked well for us. Each floor has two bedrooms and a bath to share plus a powder room in the kitchen. The place is missing simple things like a rug inside the door to catch the dirt from outside. In fact we went and bought one because there was no place to put shoes and boots. Kitchen was also minimally furnished, but we got by.

Very clean and renovated house - close to everything!
Spent a long weekend in the fall here. The home is clean and newly renovated so it was a comfortable place to stay. Beds were comfortable and had lots of channels on the tv. We spent the weekend visiting the nearby parks and wineries. This location was central to everything. Taryn was super responsive and quick to reply with anything we needed. Thanks!
