Holiday Homes in Wattwil

Exactly what we were looking for. A nice, old-fashioned Swiss hotel nested in the countryside of Zürich. Beautiful view, excellent restaurant with friendly service. The only negative aspects are that the rooms are very bare and minimalistic, and the hotel is not geared towards handicapped guests.

We stayed just for one night on the way from Lausanne to Munich. It was perfect. The room was pretty small, but we had everything we needed. It was automated check in, very easy and understandable, and very convenient. Clean and nice place.

really good price to value hotel. Not so busy outside of the season.

Note: I visited Schwägalp a few years ago when the old wooden hotel was still there. It was a very scenic place back then, but the new hotel is quite nice too and architecturally impressive. Time marches on!) We (senior couple, California) had a wonderful 2-nite stay in early Feb19. Unfortunately, the cable car was down due to an avalanche, but we walked snow trails and had a great time. The weather was perfect, sunny and 100% blue skies - lucky. We'll return when cable car (Schwebebahn) is back...

It was very comfortable. Would recommend. View was astounding and people very kind.

We had a very nice stay. The check-in was a little confusing, as we arrived after the front desk had closed, but the restaurant staff was very friendly and helped us find our room. The room was very big, and very comfortable. It was nice having. Kitchenette in the room, as we had two small children. The bed was very comfortable, and the restaurant served a nice Swiss breakfast in the morning. Would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone traveling through Herisau.
