This is more of a homestay which is good for backpackers, rather than a resort. The family who run the property are really nice and accommodating. The meals are basic and quite bland but you are encouraged to eat a lot, which would suit hungry backpackers.
There was an overbooking on the night we arrived and we were put into the locals hut, rather than the beach hut that we had booked and paid for. This locals hut was not clean, did not have running water for most of the evening so we couldn’t flush the toilet or have water to brush out teeth etc, and was not at all similar to the photos of the hut that we had booked. After we complained, we were then told that we were in there due to the overbooking. It was upsetting and disappointing to have been put in that room and not told there was an overbooking etc. as we felt otherwise we would have be len in there for 3 nights. We got moved into the beach hut that we had booked the following night and we were given shark snorkeling for free, but no other discount for the bad experience.
