Always wonderful
A quiet cozy getaway tucked away on the beautiful lake wedowee. We spent our honeymoon here and loved it so much that we booked again for our anniversary. Pam Miles is such a wonderful host as well. She is always going above and beyond to make sure we are taken care of. We will definitely be coming back!

My favorite place ever!!!
I wish I could make some story up about how terrible this place is so I could rent it all for myself but I just can’t….it’s amazing. Favorite place to stay on the lake and I’ve stayed at several. I would give anything to be able to buy this place and retire here. Always great!

Quiet cove
We REALLY ENJOYED our mini vacation at this cabin. Quiet cove with private dock. Spacious living area. Good sleeping accommodations. We especially enjoyed the outside seating and porches. The dirt roads are too treacherous for fancier boats, but the marina is a short drive to the house. The owners are VERY ACCOMMODATING We will DEFINITELY be returning to this location.

This house was perfectly located on a quiet inlet with a covered dock. The gas marina is a short boat ride down the lake. This was the best stocked kitchen we have had with a VRBO rental. The host is super responsive and proactive to make sure we had a great vacation. We will definitely be back.

Picturesque Lake Vacation
This house and ALL of the amenities created the most perfect lake vacation for our family. The kayaks were used for early morning exploring of the cove, the dock was perfect for night fishing and day lounging. The grill area was so fun the night we did smores, the decks are the perfect hangout spot for morning coffee and the furniture and beds were all so comfy. Internet was good. The star of the show was the green light out in the water for fishing at night. We sat for hours ooohing and ahhhing at the big fish we could see. If you are wanting a remote, quiet, relaxing week at the lake, this place is perfect. The drive to "town" is about 17 minutes and had everything we needed, however, we didn't want to leave the house for anything once we got settled in.

Wedowee Lake Trip
The owners were very nice and accommodating. The views were amazing. The location is quite a bit off the beaten path but worth the drive down the dirt road once you see the location. The whole area is very quiet and has beautiful homes surrounding it. There’s a boat ramp right across from the property which was very convenient for dropping our boat. The lights on the boat dock and in the water were a huge plus and made it more enjoyable at night. There are beautiful windows upstairs allowing you to see the lake views. The property could use a little TLC. The kitchen chairs and sink was dirty and so were the front windows that showcase the lake. There are stains in the bathtub that made us not want to use it. There were several broken and/or rusted outdoor patio chairs and the outside areas were not very well maintained. Before our stay there was a leak and we offered to postpone our stay but the owner said it wasn’t necessary so when we arrived there was carpet pulled back in one bedroom and a humidifier running during our entire stay to dry it out. The property owner was in and out two of the three days we were there trying to fix the leak which we agreed to but it definitely put a damper on our privacy. An alarm started going off one of the days and we had to call the owner. It had something to do with the septic tank and was turned off quickly. Overall we enjoyed our time there but would have loved it to be a little better maintained and for the price.

Great Christmas Getaway
We enjoyed the completely stocked kitchen - had every utensil etc we needed Loved the 270 degree view out of the windows on the main floor Having the bedrooms down stairs was a huge plus as well Great stay and we may be back soon!

Wedowee Lake House
The cabin was beautiful as was the view! The listing wasn't joking when they said to get your groceries before going to the house as it was a little ways from a store. I don't remember reading this in the listing but you drive down a good bit of dirt roads to get to the house. Thankfully they are wide! We're accustomed to driving on dirt roads so it was fine; just thought I'd mention it so others would know. Comfortable furniture in the living room and plenty of beds. Can't say enough about the view of the lake!

Home away from home
This is our third time at the lake house with Pam. Evertything was wonderful. Only complaint was we had to go home. Really great place and already looking for dates for next stay. Spring crappie season!!!!

Totally awesome vacation!!
The check in was easy. The host was very nice. My son didn’t get to go so it was a girls trip. Our husbands stayed home. The house was fantastic! Well stocked an so pretty! The boat ramp access that was just across the street made it very nice. The dock was a great plus ! I can’t think of anywhere else we would like to stay on Wedowee. I fell in love with the place. We will definitely be back. Just wanted to say thanks to mr. & Ms Pam for the great memories. We caught some great fish an love having the underwater light that made it even more fun. The most important fact was we felt safe an caught nice fish.

2nd stay and it didn’t disappoint.
First time we stayed was for a family vacation and the kids loved it. This time was a guys trip and everyone had a blast. Really enjoyed the easy access to the water and the fact we could put our boat in the dock for the week and leave it. Love the seclusion and beauty.

Loved the location on the big river but 48 marina right around the corner. Quiet cove with a great dock. Perfect for our family of four and the kids each brought a friend. Steps from the water and love the outdoor space. Man I’d love to have this place for myself one day. Too bad it’s booked for the rest of the summer but we will try to book multiple vacations here next year. We loved it!!!

The house is close to the water for a perfect view and easily accessed. Our son enjoyed fishing and we all enjoyed eating catfish on our last night there. Beautiful views from the large porch areas.

Perfect Vacation Spot
We had such a great time! The peaceful and secluded setting was exactly what we had hoped for! Access to the lake was great with a boat launch across the street and steps away from the dock / boat slip. We got plenty of use from the kayaks provided! And the house itself had so many extras from shampoo, conditioner, bath soap, kitchen utensils, spices and much more. You literally only have to bring food, drink, clothing and yourself! The property owner was very responsive, helpful and sweet! FYI bring what you need because the road leading to the house is a tad bumpy BUT it’s a great road to keep strangers off! We knew that bumpy road would lead us to serenity! Loved our stay, thank you so much!

Remote getaway -jusy what we needed!
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay. The lake house has a lot of outside seating to enjoy the lake. The kitchen has every amenity you could need with reliable appliances and nice lighting. The master bedroom has a comfy king size bed with plenty of blankets and pillows. The wifi is adequate with satellite t.v. and a nice selection of DVDs. We decided to drive to Talledega National Forest, Carrollton GA for the bike ride on the Greenbelt and even to the Atlanta Botanical Gardens. Loved seeing the jewels of this area. Pam was very helpful. Great stay!

I have been staying here for a few years. This property checks all of the boxes for me. Location on the lake is ideal for fishing and Lake Wedowee always produces for us. The dock has a covered slip for your boat which you can put in at the private ramp straight across the rd. The dock has an underwater light with a wider area on one side for relaxing and fishing. The house itself is beautiful with a great deck, lots of windows for lake views, and an open floor plan. Secluded, private, and comfortable. The kitchen is very well furnished with any need you may have for cooking. Recommend bringing everything you need (food, drink, bait, etc) so you don’t have to run out. Awesome new Weber grill! We grill out almost every night. There is a nice covered area with lighting, seating, table, and grill off of the main porch. A lot of lake houses are a ways off of the lake or usually have a steep decline to the water...not this one, it’s very close. You can stand on the porch and have a conversation with someone on the dock without raising your voice. Owner is great to work with. 5 stars every time.

Our group of friends have been coming to Lake Wedowee for a number of years. We found Pam's home a few years ago and continue to come back every year. Great access to the water with a boat ramp right across the street. Pam is gracious and responds quickly to any questions.

The road going in is a graded public road, renter was made aware of this going in. The majority of the cabins and homes in our area on the lake have dirt road access. Owners were made aware of small leak in roof prior to stay and passed info along to renter, very minor leak repaired second day of visit. We have never had issues with the DVD players, however we sent two DVD players next day along with a bottle of wine. In our listing it only mentioned having internet, we didn’t say anything about how fast it is. Unfortunately not many options for internet in the remote area we are in. If you want to download episodes do it before you get there, if you want to check your email, Instagram, Facebook, the WiFi is good.

Quiet Getaway with Spouse
This property is in a fantastic spot on Lake Wedowee. We loved our stay and the kayak's provided. We followed the suggestion to bring our own food which was a great idea. We experienced no ATT cell coverage at the property but the newly added WiFi hotspot helped us make calls using WiFi-Calling. Next trip we will likely rent a boat to explore the entire lake.

Relaxing Get Away
This home fit our needs perfectly by providing a rustic, yet extremely comfortable and relaxing get away. There is an exceptional view of the lake with ample seating available to enjoy early morning coffee on the porches and dinner in the covered outside dining area. A Quiet Place
The property was exactly what we were looking for. There was plenty of peace and quiet, with access to some fishing and lake activities when were so inclined. The dock is outstanding for relaxing, swimming or fishing. I highly recommend utilizing the underwater light that is attached to the dock for attracting fish of all types. We caught catfish, bluegill, spots, crappie, and even a couple stripers, mostly at night. The dock fishing was a nice consolation to our kids, since our boat was in the shop. We will definitely be back with the boat! The lake house was clean and the views right from the main living area were fantastic, with windows all around to see the lake only steps away.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PROPERTY!!!!!!
IT WAS NOT CLEAN AT ALL! THERE WERE ROACHES, TERMITES, SOME TYPE OF WORMS, SPIDERS, AND A SCORPION IN THE LIVING AREA/KITCHEN! THE TUBS WERE DIRTY AND THICK SPIDER WEBS WERE AROUND THE ENTIRE HOUSE IN/OUT, EVEN THE PEER! ME AND MY WIFE DIDN'T GO TO SLEEP THAT NIGHT, JUST KILLING BUGS! WE LEFT AS SOON AS WE SAW DAYLIGHT BECAUSE IT WAS STORMING SO BAD KMSL! TERRIBLE BIRTHDAY FOR MY WIFE! THE OWNER DID REFUND MY MONEY! I HONESTLY COULDN'T BELIEVE THIS PLACE WAS IN THAT CONDITION. OVERALL, THEY NEED TO CALL IN A PROFESSIONAL CLEANING TEAM, MULTIPLE EXTERMINATORS, OR JUST TEAR THIS PLACE DOWN TO THE GROUND!

Shavario, I’m sorry your experience at our cabin was less than desirable. After renting through VRBO for 11 years, I have Never had such negative feedback. Nor have I had issues such as this.The renter before you raved how beautiful it was and how much she enjoyed her stay. My family and I were the next people to stay at our home and we had no problems.. So it’s shocking to me to hear this. It wasn’t until approximately 12 hours after your arrival that you informed me of any issue. After apologizing and quickly offering a refund you thanked me and departed at approximately 9:30 AM, not daylight. I assumed we settled amicably but apparently not.

4 Old Fishing Friends
This was our 15th annual fishing trip. The property was great for our purposes. We have two Bass Boats and 4 people. The dock was perfect for keeping and charging our boats in the water and the ramp was right across the street. Plenty of room for parking with trailers. Outside facilities were wonderful for our group. Only issue I had with this property was the long gravel road so our bass boats were coated with dirt when we arrived and after we left.
