The hotel was absolutely amazing. The service was superb and the food was delicious. We enjoyed our stay very much.We loved the beds and the pillows , we slept really well. Also a special mention to Vishwa the naturalist who was outstanding with her informative wildlife tours which my 9 year old son enjoyed very much. The swimming pool was exceptionally good with a very natural feel and it was not too crowded. A great place to watch birds as you could see bee eaters, bulbuls etc and even monitor lizards. There is so much more to this place and we loved our stay there. We hope to return one day in the future.

Stayed at this hotel for one night. Went to another hotel in Yala. Was not pleased with what I saw. My family and I turned around and went back to stay here for another night. Very clean hotel, very polite staff who go above and beyond to ensure you have a relaxing and comfortable stay. Highly recommend staying here if you are ever in Weerawila. Keep up the great work!!! :)

Breathtaking resort

This was an amazing hotel. Everything was perfect, the staff so friendly and helpfu. The grounds absolutely stunning and the food was amazing . We travel a lot and the food was some of the best we have had,taste and presentation on point. Only regret was we only bookec for one night on our travels through Sri Lanka Thank you to the Hilton staff PS the welcome cookie is a nice touch

Nice location. Beautiful natural surroundings - lots of birds. Very friendly staff. Excellent spa - with very cheerful and friendly staff - Diu , reception lady,vulan,vica - all great and friendly girls. Some credits Sudarsana- house keeping staff Menaka - restaurant staff always with a friendly smile. Kobinath - restairant staff - very courteous and helful. Inisha- restaurant staff - very helpful and made our dining a great experience.

We spent two nights at this charming hotel, staying in a spacious presidential villa with a private swimming pool and four bedrooms. The modern design was impressive, and the staff were exceptionally kind and helpful. We were fortunate to receive excellent assistance from Ms. Senuri, who provided thorough explanations and support. One thing to keep in mind is that, due to the hotel's proximity to the lake, there are quite a few insects.

Beautiful hotel and staff. Reception exceptionally helpful . Last hotel I extended stay at had issues and tried to swap room. Not here/everything went smoothly. Easy to book safaris although pool and grounds make you question the need to leave. Food excellent and well presented. Plenty of dining options.

Overview: We are a family of four from India, with two kids (6 years old and 7 months old). Our trip took place in November 2024, and the main reason for staying at this resort was our safari in Yala National Park. We traveled from Nuwara Eliya (Nanu Oya) to Ella by train, which took about 3.5 hours. Then, we drove for about 2.5 hours to reach DoubleTree by Hilton. Apart from ultra-luxury resorts like Wild Coast Tented Lodges and Uga Chena Huts, DoubleTree by Hilton offered a comfortable and luxurious stay. Another Hilton property is located inside Yala National Park but is more expensive. Location: Rating: 10/10 The resort is spacious and quiet, offering a peaceful environment. The surrounding lake is serene, perfect for meditation or relaxation on one of the patios. The swimming pool is large, clean, and includes a bar, though they don’t provide tubes, which would have been ideal for kids. However, there is a separate pool for children. The area is not a city, so it’s recommended to include meals with your stay. The resort also features a club-like area offering hookah, drinks, a big screen, pool, and a karaoke room. This property is very kid-friendly. Being located near the Yala forest, it’s natural to encounter insects, but the housekeeping staff are friendly and quick to help if any are found in the room.
