"We had a great stay at this Hampton inn! The hotel is very nice and updated, everything was clean. The staff were friendly. It is situated in a good downtown area, the breakfast was delicious with lots of options and a wide time window. We also enjoyed the fitness center and pool was amazing. "We enjoyed the location since it was only 15 minutes from First Horizon Stadium by car. The hotel’s lobby smells like cigarettes :/. I expected a room with hardwood floors like the ones in the picture, but we got carpet. I paid more for a balcony but didn’t really use it. I wish the breakfast on the weekends would go until a little bit later, maybe 10:30am-11am? Also, the cleaning people knocked on our door on the check-out day before 10am and we were still asleep. Check-out is at 11am. Overall, our stay was ok."

"The bed took up most of the usable space in the room. Toiletries were minimal but adequate. Mini-fridge and microwave functional though microwave a trifle dodgy. No place to sit down except on the bed. Older property refurbished and fairly clean. For the solo (and definitely solo) traveller who wants to save money, this is a good but minimal choice."
