Top Wellesley Island Hotel Reviews
Bonnie Castle Resort & Marina
8/10 Good
"It was a nice and short stay. I read a lot of reviews before deciding to stay at Bonnie Castle. The reviews were accurate. The staff is friendly. The place is very outdated. My room was very clean but the balcony was small and uncomfortable. I went down to the pool. The smell of "chloramine" (chlorine mixed with urine and sweat) was astounding. The smell burned my eyes. We did not use the pool while we were there but it clearly needed to be fully cleaned."

Riveredge Resort
8/10 Good
"This hotel has a terrific location and great breakfast. I stayed previously and if you get in earlier, you can enjoy a fun evening in the lounge. They had music last time with some good flatbread. . They do have 24 hour wine bottles and some alcohol coolers but no beer available for purchase in the lobby area. The downside to the hotel is the outdated rooms. Comfortable enough but not anything exceptional. Definitely, missing modern touches and furnishings. Views are great but patio could be vastly more usable with a screen door to let In some fresh air. Patios are stacked in a way that neighbors are basically in your space assuming you both have similar schedules. A lively update would really make this place a perfect stop. Easy walking distance to much of the town and ample parking available. Staff was very friendly which I did not expect after reading some recent reviews. Our waitress at breakfast was very good as were our breakfast sandwiches. We ate on the patio with nice views of Boldt castle. Also, no evidence of bedbugs as described in some recent reviews. TV was satellite so many viewing options. Overall, very good stay. Highly recommend they switch up the outdated carpeting in the hallways, redo the bathrooms and buy some new furniture to replace the dated 70s feel. With a cleaned up look reviews would be much higher."
