This property is absolutely not as it appears in the photos. It sits right on the edge of a busy road where cars speed by constantly, making it loud and unsafe. The moment we walked in, we were hit with a terrible sewage smell throughout the house.Several amenities listed were either missing or not functioning properly. There was no medical massage chair as mentioned in the description. The hot tub water level was too low, so it didn’t work properly. The outdoor TV had no signal at all. The downstairs bathroom window was broken, and we had to awkwardly shimmy it just to keep it closed and locked. To make matters worse, that same bathroom door doesn’t even shut. The sliding glass door to the deck has no lock or latch, it’s just open to anyone. The most concerning issue of all: there was a gun cabinet with ammunition and keys sitting right on top, completely unlocked and accessible. I have never felt more unsafe in a rental property. It was also very clear that someone actually lives there, there were personal items, junk drawers, and random clutter everywhere. As for the town itself, it basically shuts down after dark. There was only one restaurant open until around 9 PM, and when we walked in, everyone stared like we didn’t belong. The hostess seemed completely lost, when we asked how long the wait was (with several empty tables visible), she said, “I don’t know,” and just walked away. It was truly one of the strangest experiences I’ve ever had traveling. I’ll never return.
