About this property

Homestead Living at Lake Wenatchee

  • This unique one room cabin (with an enclosed bathroom) was built in the 1950's and is an original Trappers cabin. It is perfect for a getaway for 2 or a quiet retreat for one. It was completely remodeled in 2020 with all new amenities, including stove/oven, microwave, and refrigerator. It also has a cozy woodstove

    There is a snow park for cross country skiing or snow shoeing just down the street. The snow park for snowmobiling is about 2 miles down an adjacent road. Stevens Pass is approximately 30 minutes away for down hill skiing in winter and mountain biking in summer.
    Leavenworth is about 25 minutes away. You can spend the day in town and then return to the cabin for peace and quiet.

    Please be advised that in winter, 4 wheel or all wheel drive vehicle is recommended.
    The cabin sits on a main road that is plowed by the county and we keep the driveway plowed as well, but we are not responsible for guests not being able to make it over the pass in snowy conditions, therefore, refunds for weather conditions will only be offered if both Stevens Pass and Snoqualmie Pass are closed and/or it is too dangerous to travel, as determined by the WSDOT.

The home is very cozy and a great getaway for 2. Kitchen has everything you’d need for some good homemade food and t’s conveniently located by many fun outdoor activities!

Perfect place!

Jane’s cabin was so quaint and cute! Such a great secluded area with beautiful views. Close to hiking and not a far drive into town. The cabin was kept very clean. We loved our stay!

Cozy winter stay!

We had a great time hiking around Lake Wenatchee, driving into Leavenworth, and skiing in Plain. Coming back to our nice cabin with a warm wood stove was wonderful.

Cozy getaway

Everything was great. The location very close to Lake Wenatchee State Park trails and lakes. The cabin was clean and cozy and the DVD player is a great touch.

Another Beautiful Stay!

We love coming here to relax and play in the beauty that is right outside the door, literally. The cabin is cozy and comfortable with all the amenities. We also enjoy the proximity to Leavenworth. And Jane is kind and always helpful!

Clean, quiet, well-appointed cabin

This cozy cabin is perfect for a single hiker/skier or for a couple who enjoy a quiet get-a-way from urban life. Close to beautiful Lake Wenatchee, trails, and the Bavarian themed tourist town of Leavenworth, the location offers many chances for adventure. Great communication with the owner, too!

Great based for X-C skiing

The place was cozy, well-appointed, and comfortable. In a good location for outdoor activities--central, but quiet compared to Leavenworth. There was a snafu with cleaning, but I understand it has been corrected.

Coziest Winter Wonderland Cabin

This is our 4th time here, so needless to say, we love it! I gave this cabin 5 stars (again) because it is exactly that. We always have such a beautiful time warming up by the fire, cooking up great food in the kitchen, sleeping awesome, and cross-country skiing in the area. We will be back!

What a great find

Arrival was great, it was a 90+ degree day and the owner had the A/C turned on. Very clean, cozy and well equipped, had everything I needed. Bed was comfortable, no complaints.

Just what you need

Minimalist cabin with everything you need. It was like what glamping should be! While I was hanging out by the fire pit I saw a wild turkey saunter by so that was cool.

Great little get away. Cozy cabin has more things than expected including fridge/freezer, microwave, keurig, little tv with dvd’s, and an outdoor fire pit and grill. We enjoyed our time there. Comfy bed, nice lighting. Loved the little details in this trapper’s cabin. Had a deer visitor too!

A place to sleep

We wanted a place to sleep while spending most of our time with our daughter’s and son’s families nearby. The little cabin was clean and cozy. Although we did not use them, it was well appointed with kitchen items and a small refrigerator and stove. The check-in was easy and the property manager very helpful and responsive to questions.

Anniversary Trip get away

This cabin was perfect! Literally everything needed was provided for the best two night getaway we could ask for! From location to instruction on how to use the wood fireplace inside! It was quaint and clean! Quiet and beautiful! Couldn’t recommend this host and cabin enough! Worth your time and effort! Memories to last a lifetime!!!

Pretty little cabin with everything I needed

I needed a place to stay while doing some volunteer work in the area. This was about a mile down the road from one of our sites, and 15 minutes from the main site I was working at. The cabin is very comfortable, with everything I needed for a weekend stay. Shower was a bit small but usable. Bed was very comfortable. Kitchenette was great, and well set up. Overall a quiet spot and comfortable for the weekend.

This was the perfect location for exploring around Lake Wenatchee and doing some great hikes in the area. The cabin was a really fun place to stay, with the owners trying to retain the flavor of when it was a trapper's cabin. From the appearance of the outside to the decorations in the inside, it made you feel like you had stepped back in time, but with the cleanliness and conveniences of modern day. It was a nice cozy place, well stocked, with the amenities we needed for cooking our own meals...and not very far away from Lake Wenatchee. This would be a very cozy place to stay in the winter months with a nice fire crackling in the wood stove. Jane was very responsive every time I texted her. She even let us check in earlier which worked well for us. There was some highway noise but it died down after dark. It was a great place to stay! We highly recommend.
