This was the best stay in Vermont so far!! There were so many amenities to choose from! The host was extremely communicative, and friendly from the start! Would definitely stay again!
We enjoyed this quiet location for a snowy winter getaway. The chalet was super clean, very welcoming, and had plenty of room for all of us. We only missed firewood being stocked inside for us to use especially since the wood outside was damp. Otherwise, everything was pretty fab.
We had an amazing time at the Abbot Hill Chalet! What a beautiful view of the snow covered mountains. The house was in a private well maintained property, plenty of bedrooms, towels, soap, basics for cooking. The property was plowed and had plenty of firewood for 2 wood burning stoves. We loved the hot tub! and 2 living areas. Our girls loved the hills around the property for sledding. The hosts were very prompt with their communication and sent their handyman when we had an issue with a faucet. Thank you so much!!
3 friends and I booked this place minute so we could ski northern VT. It's an easy hour's ride from Jay and just 30 min to Burke. Wood stove, Amazon Fire TV, and plenty of sleeping space were all pluses. The hot tub was a nice soak, but the
jets basically didn't work. Cookware consists of the usual random assortment of medium-quality pots and pans with no lids. We made do but I wouldn't plan on any major meal prep unless the owners upgrade the cookware. Overall a great place to shower and rest between long days skiing.

House was really nice. However, a few things weren't good. We had freezing rain and the driveway was a skating rink with no ice melt. Couldn't use the grill as there was a ton of snow on the deck and someone before us left the propane tank open and we couldn't change over the tank due to the deck was covered with snow. Very dangerous as the snow was frozen and very heavy and above the hot tub. The jets weren't working in the hot tub and the hot tub was disqustingly dirty. The dishwasher had a issue where the soap enclosure didn't open up when using the dishwasher and we ended up finding a leak from the kitchen into the basement. The house had an issue with flies. They were coming in or trying to get out. But dead all over the floors. For the good stuff, the house was clean, comfortable, plenty of room and cozy. Beds were extremely comfortable.
The chalet was very charming and clean. Our concerns were the broken fridge in kitchen we could not use. We communicated regarding broken fridge with good response time but didn't realize and weren't told about extra fridge in basement. We lost groceries. Mattress first floor was concave and uncomfortable could not be used. Lots of flies alive and dead buzzing around. No hooks for wet towels after hot tub and showers.
