Family vacation
We had a group of 25 people for a family vacation and we did have a blast, we are very easy people to please BUT there was a lot wrong which is to bad because the house has such great potential with a little TLC. There was no lock on the front door and worse no lock on the door going indoor pool. I’m pretty sure that would be some violation. They did come and put a lock on for us. Kitchen wasn’t stocked well, for 12 bedrooms only 8 coffee cups and we didn’t have a big pot to cook in so we went out and bought one, My brother went to get in his bed and when he pulled down the sheets there were dirty socks in the bed. The grill they had was rusted and filthy we couldn’t use it. They did respond and brought us a brand new one. They advertise a tennis court it was so grown in you couldn’t use it. Also the out doors space is not kept up. There is a washer and dryer but there were linens in both the washer and dryer not from us. The electricity went off and we had no flash lights or candles. The floors were on the dirty side The pool was fabulous the kids had a blast and the 12 bedrooms each with their own bathrooms was fantastic. The entire way the house was set up is perfect for a large group of people. I hate leaving a bad review because i know that things happen but I reached out a few times to try to get the cleaning fee back the property manager got back to us without an answer. I would not stay on this property

Great house for a large group
We had 32 people stay at this house and felt very comfortable and spacious. The pool was a big hit with the kids! It’s about a mile away from Mt Snow and the location is ideal.

Great large group or family trip. Excellent ski house
The house is great for a large family and or friends to all gather. We enjoyed the family room being right next to game room. The indoor pool was fabulous. Close to Mt Snow and room for everyone's gear. The Property manager was there to answer any questions and to help us with whatever we needed.

Wonderful Family Reunion
We celebrated our second family reunion. It was truly a wonderful experience. The property was absolutely perfect for us. Having the privacy of each room having a bathroom was was a great convenience. Michelle and Ryan were great hosts, very accommodating and responsive. Would definitely stay here again.

The bedrooms size with EnSite bathrooms was wonderful, and the kitchen/dining/living space was perfect for our large family to gather for a full week. New bedding and towels were a nice touch. The lack of amenities that were expected, in pictures and video, was a letdown, but we made do without and had a wonderful time at the house. We are sure when the renovations are completed that the house will really live up to its full potential as a unique destination.

Great for large groups!!
The size of the house was awesome it was able to accommodate my whole family with no problem. It was great that each room had its own bathroom. Loved the kitchen with new appliances and two or more of everything which made it very easy and convenient to cook and store all the food we brought to feed everyone. A delicious bakery literally down the street and local grocery stores minutes away for any extras we may have forgotten and still needed. My family loves to fish and there was even great fishing access in a good 5-15 mile radius.

Perfect house for a large group
This house was perfect for our group. Total of 18 people. Having 12 rooms with full bathrooms each was great tear and made it very private for five families. The layout and size makes a big difference. Never felt crowded or on top of one another. Pool and ping pong tables helped us to kill time and the pool was a nice treat after a full day of skiing. Very close to Mount Snow and also groceries a big plus. All in all, a great house. Also, Margit and Michelle were incredibly helpful and responsive. Thanks for making our stay great.

A perfect ski trip
10/10 for the blue house at mt snow. Stayed here with 25 other young adults. The house was perfect for us. We skied all day and then would return to the house to relax by the pool, cook great meals in the kitchen, and share good stories in the giant living room. Everyone slept comfortably and we had space for even more people if we wanted. The bedrooms all came with clean linens and towels also. I would definitely recommend this house for anyone looking to have a great get away at mt snow. I for sure will be back with the same group as everyone had an equally great time as me. 0 complaints and check in/check out was a breeze.

Amazing Property and Location!
I can't say enough about how perfect this property was for a large group. We had 28 people staying in the Blue House for a long weekend over New Year's Eve and the pictures don't do this house justice for how perfect it is for a large group. Michelle and Ryan and the rest of the house staff were so helpful and responded to every question or request immediately. The location right by the Mt. Snow and The Last Chair is unbeatable for a mountain weekend. Book this house for your next ski weekend!

The property was a great size and there were just enough rooms for our big group of friends. Although we had a great time and the pool/hot tub was great to use, I think that the place could have been a little more put together when we arrived. Great space, pool disappointment
Overall everything went pretty well and we had a great time. We enjoyed the pool tables and ping pong table. Plenty of space. Some issues we had with this property: A couple weeks before the trip I saw a review that the oven broke and that the pool was really cold. When I spoke to her I told her that the only reason we picked this house was the pool. She assured me it will be fixed before our arrival and her maintenance guy was working on it and it should be all set. During these conversations she made comments about other guests leaving trash there. I told her we would make sure that we would leave our trash all tied up in bags. She said that is what the other guest did except they left a lot and it is very expensive to dispose of the trash. She told me we should take it with us, but I told her that we were paying over $4,000 to stay there for two nights and we would not be driving home with our trash. (There was never any agreement of that nature when reserving the house). She finally let it go in that conversation. When we were 30 minutes away from the house on the day of arrival I received an email from her that the pool was not fixed (even though she told me numerous times it would be ready). I tried to be extremely patient throughout this whole process and lowering my expectations for this house so my group can come and have a good time. She offered a pool we could use a couple minutes down the road, but it is absolutely not what we paid for and we did not use it at all. Upon arrival she started up again about trying not to make a lot of trash and the high cost to remove it. I told her we had 16 people coming and we would try our best, she let out a sigh of annoyance. If this is such a big issue for her then she really needs to incorporate this cost off trash removal in the price. Renting a house out that sleeps 32 people should include the price of trash removal. We realized there was no hot water in some bathrooms. Decided to suck it bc we figured it wouldn't be fixed right away, so we didn't want to be bothered. The house has potential and I hope the new owner fixes the pool and updates things like the cushions/couches. Great location!

I am sorry about the pool problem. It had a leak and Rick was waiting for a part to repair it, but it took a long time to get it. The plumbers in this area are terrible. It is finally repaired but still has to get a bit warmer.. I think it is fine now. Yes the garbage is always a problem. People leave too much and it is always mixed up. We have signs for bottles and cans and recicable items, but people do not pay much attention and we have to sort it all out. I did not know about the hot water lack. no one told us, but we have not had a complaint so far. We always try to keep our houses in the best condition, but the great use of them sometimes creates a problem, but we always fix it asap. Margit R

The house was in good condition and the hot tub needed something but we did not know someone will stay there because the Solomon people were only 5 people and I thought they would be at the DJ house. They did stay at the Blue house some of the beds were used and they left a terrible mess in the kitchen, living room and dining room. They will have to pay the whole amount .Margit R

Not Clean, Absolutely No Up Keep on Property
While we expected the property to be a bit older and outdated in some appliances, what we did not expect was the property to be dirty and basic appliances not to be working. When we arrived, we found forks with food on them in the bedroom, used qtips in a closet, an egg that was thrown at the wall and then yolk seeping down it, ketchup on the ceiling, mold on the quilts, and mouse droppings in the cabinets and above the refrigerator. It was clear that not only had the property not been cleaned before our stay, it looks like it had not been cleaned in months. The oven also did not work and while the owner sent over maintenance to look at it and said she had no known it was not working, it was very clear it did not work for a long time as upon inspection the wires were chewed through by mice and that is why it did not work. The bare minimum of cleaning the bathrooms, vacuuming the floors, and wiping off surfaces was clearly not done either. The owner also asked us to not create too much garbage and to bring the garbage home with us. If the house is being rented to 30 people, it should be expected that there would need to be disposing of garbage from 30 people. We were also asked not to keep on lights and when the owner came to check on the oven, she began going through the house to turn off lights until she was told she could not go into the bedroom as babies were sleeping. While the house is massive with a lot of potential, it is not fit to be rented. Had we had a smaller group and did not travel far for our stay, we would have left immediately and found another accommodation. This property has not been maintained and the lack of cleanliness is unacceptable for the price of this property.

I am sorry he had such a bad experience but this never happen before or after I am also upset that he never called me, I always tell our guest when they check in that I am available if they have a problem or any questions, but I never got a call. I usually check people in in person so I can say hello. I am really sorry about this and I guess he will never come again. Margit

House from a nightmare
do not book this house. The house is in terrible condition, dirty, ran down and not taken care of. The pool heated only to 63 degrees. WiFi is very spotty. Kitchen stove doesn’t work. Mouse droppings in kitchen cabinets and some beds.

This is very unfair. We had other guests staying there and no complaint. The only thing is that the oven was not working and we could not get anyone to fix it, even though we called a lot of fixers. Yes there were some mouse droppings, mostly because people always leave the doors open and I also told her twice to make sure the doors are closed. I have the feeling that she wants a discount on the rental fee, that is why she complains so much. I am sorry, but we usually have very happy people. Margit

Great Family Reunion
The blue house was perfect for our family reunion. The indoor pool, game tables and outside area enabled the 35 guests which included 10 kids under 10 to have a lot of fun. Gary and Jack were very attentive to all our needs. The kitchen area was fabulous. I would highly recommend for a big gathering.

Wonderful Northeast Summer Vacation!
70-80 degree cloudless days and 60 degree nights make for perfect climate in July. This property is huge, and fit our large family reunion perfectly. Weber grilled every night on the patio with sitting under umbrellas. Tennis, pool, huge game room and another huge grand room sitting the entire crowd after dinner. Everyone loved it here!

Mount Snow ski weekend
We had a wonderful ski weekend at the Blue House!! The home was more than big enough to accommodate our party of close to 30 people. It was tidy and well-kept, and Jack the owner was only a phone call away if we had any questions or concerns. The house itself had a great deal of games and activities which was especially convenient for those who didn't ski or snowboard. We had a great experience and hope to be back in coming years!

Just what we needed for a working retreat
The property is an expansive combination of sleeping quarters (nicely removed from living areas), kitchen and connected dinning and living spaces, and relaxation and game rooms. All 18 of us were very comfortable and warm at all times with the help of a large and very efficient stove that was taken care of daily by Jack - the property manager. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking and dinning. Even though the place could use some updating, it didn't bother us or prevent us from enjoying out stay. We will likely use it again next year! Thanks Jack!

We stayed at the Blue House rather than the brown and had a great time.
The home has charm and warmth but accomodated a very large party with kids and adults. Never on top of one another. Lots of space for all the equipment that goes with skiing . The kitchen was great and we grilled and cooked every day and Night. There are 2 large dining areas so we all could sit down or mill around eating at the counter space in the kitchen. The living areas are large and comfortable. Kids and adults had a ball playing pool and pingpong.there are a variety of board games too! The pool is maintained very well. Much bigger than I thought. I'm not a fan of hot tubs but I did use this one and very well maintaoned and big too! The golf driving range was a great place for the kids to blow off steam. All the rooms had fresh linen and towels for a very reasonable fee. Each has own private bath. The most reassuring thing about the house was a new sprinkler system and fire safety system. The Ridgway are so nice and easy to work with. He hand delivered discounted lift tix and had and wealth of information about the area. SUPER closee to the mountian. Going Back!! Oh, and we got a lot of snow while we were there and the driveway was plowed frequently and was big enough for all our cars

Expensive for a place that needs considerable updating
I'll start by saying that overall we enjoyed our stay at the Blue House. It's in a lovely area and close to Mt Snow, with restaurants/stores close by. We were a group of 30 adults & children (11 families total) and there was more than enough room for everyone. It was nice that rooms had queen beds and twin beds, all with private baths. The kids loved swimming in the pool and playing games on the ping pong & pool tables. That said, the house needs considerable updating and the listing is not entirely accurate. Here's what we found: - In general, the house was tidy, but not really clean. For example, the floors had been swept but were still quite dirty and the fans in the pool area had an enormous amount of dust hanging from the fan blades. With so much dust on them, we couldn't turn on the fans to air out the very strong smell of chlorine from the pool area (side note: the chlorine odor really bothered several people as it burned their eyes and made them cough). - The kitchen is indeed big, but the appliances are very old and some didn't work well (toaster and one of the microwaves). There were no kitchen towels, paper towels or dish soap, either. - The "home theater with surround sound" is a space that used to be an indoor golf range with a projector that displays on the old backstop that golf balls were hit into. The room has only a small couch in the back of the room, but there is a ping pong table in the middle that blocks the screen. Also, the DVD player had no working remote and the sound system crackled when the volume was turned up. TLDR: it's not a home theater with surround sound. - The pool tables had holes in the pockets, so balls just dropped onto the floor. - The tennis court had weeds growing all over it - The deck is warped badly and areas of it were difficult to walk on. Also, each family paid the equivalent of staying in a top notch hotel or resort, yet most bathrooms had no hand soap or hand towels. For the high cost of this rental, we expected it to be better equipped with basic supplies and be in much better shape than it was. Ultimately, we felt we could have stayed at a very nice resort for significantly less money than what we paid for the Blue House. All in all, it is a fun place to stay with a large group family/friends, but not a great value for the money considering it needs a lot of TLC.

WE ARE ADDRESSING THE ISSUES MENTIONED IN THE REVIEW *I REGRET THAT WE DID NOT EMPHASIZE "MORE" THAT WE ARE NOT A HOTEL BUT A PRIVATE HOME WHERE YOU SUPPLY MOST OF YOUR OWN TOILTERYS ETC. * ALSO NOT MENTIONING THAT THE PING PONG TABLE FOLDS UP WHEN YOU WANT TO WATCH A MOVIE * BUT DISAGREE W/ THE ASSERTION ABOUT RENTING A RESORT FOR 3 DAYS (for significantly less money) ON A HOLIDAY WEEKEND THAT WOULD ACCOMODATE 11 FAMLIES W/ CHILDREN IN THEIR OWN GROUP SETTING * W/ ALL THE SAME PRIVATE AMENITIES * I KNOW THAT JOHN WILL RENT W/US IN THE FUTURE FOR SIGNIFICANTLY LESS
