The Madison is a great old motel in a historic location. They have made the most of that opportunity. Rooms are small but very well organized.

The first room we were in the heater wouldn’t work. I will say the staff was very accommodating in moving us to another room in which the heat worked but very poorly. The proximity of the rooms to the street made them loud.

While this property is very old the family owners have done a very good job keeping it clean, updated, and quiet. Our parking was just outside our room. WI-FI was fast and easy to connect our devices to. The area is very walkable with lots of shopping and dining options. The property also has a connected restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It’s location provides easy access to Yellowstone’s west entrance.

I did not want to do any driving on this vacation. This property is close to everything that I wanted to see and do. The Yellowstone tour buses pick up here and the staff will also shuttle you to and from the airport. I was able to walk to: Yellowstone's entrance, gift shops, the visitor's center, historic museum and restaurants. The staff was just great and I liked my room. Two dislikes that are very much "fixable" - Im suggesting hair nets for the cleaning staff (long brown hairs on my blanket) and please, please clean the rug (footprints and stains everywhere)

We loved every thing. It was only a few min from the west entrance to Yellowstone. The area was great. A lot of shopping and places to eat near by.

The location was convenient and it was great for walking around the city. The room was clean and although I could hear the conversations in the next room, it was quiet at night so it wasn't a big deal.

Main hotel not as advertised. Very old and run down. Very difficult to understand the woman that checked us in. We were put in one of the units in the back of the hotel parking lot. It was very old and run down. The heater was very old and ran poorly.

It appears that most of the rooms, including ours, are located in old, cheap, thin-walled single story poor old motel-style units. Nothing that even begins to match the on- line description. The desk is in a historic building and has a nice small lounge area, but that’s it. We were there 2 nights- 2 people- and they only gave us 2 $10 off coupons rather than 4.
