Timber Coulee Creek in backyard, king size bed, grill on deck, large garage.

Get away for a restful stay at this scenic hidden gem of Vernon County. Timber Coulee Creek, a Class 1 trout stream, ripples right through the backyard. You will enjoy watching deer and turkey as they amble through the property. Bald eagles soar overhead and fish jump in the stream. Listen to the gurgle of the water flowing over the rocks and the music of the birds. Try your hand at fly fishing. Sit around the fire pit, roast marshmallows, watch the flames dance and the stars come out.
The space
The clean, cozy cottage will easily accommodate a single family or your favorite fishing buddies. Fully functional kitchen includes microwave, stove, fridge, dishwasher, coffee pot, Keurig, toaster, electric skillet, cooking kettles, pizza pan, utensils, plates, cups, flatware, to-go cups, coffee, k-cups, sugar, basic spices, oatmeal packets, and cooking oil.
There is a new gas grill on the porch just outside the kitchen to use at your convenience.
Open concept dining/living room features large windows overlooking the backyard creek, a dining table with 4 chairs, and comfy living room furniture.
The spacious master bedroom has a king size bed and large walk-in closet. A bathroom with full amenities and walk-in shower complete the main floor.
The walkout basement has a roomy lounge /play area with a futon, which can be used as a full size bed, and a desk for work or creativity. Patio doors provide easy access to the backyard fire pit and creek. A semi-private bedroom just off the lounge area has a queen size bed and an attached private half bath with sink and toilet. A washer and dryer are available for use in the utility room.
There is no TV. Wifi is your only access to the noisier world.

You can park in the garage or in front of the garage.
Other things to note
*Constant outdoor supervision of young children is needed due to proximity of road and creek.
*Firewood is available for use in the fire pit.
*There are no checkout requirements. If you wish to take out the trash there is a bin in the garage you may place it in, but it’s not expected of you.

It was probably one of the most relaxing places we have been and the most functional. We had so much room for the kids to play outside, they loved the multi levels and all the windows was pretty darn amazing especially the first morning it was sprinkling and foggy with a hot cup of coffee.. absolutely would stay again and not far from either town for any extra needed supplies!

Weekend to remember!

Perfect. That is the word I would use if I could only choose one. The cabin was great, the host left nice little touches everywhere for us, and the stream in the backyard had great fishing spots up and down it. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone wanting to visit Vernon county.

Fantastic Place to Stay!

Timber Creek Retreat is easily the best appointed VRBO we have stayed in and as my daughter said "Totally adorbs!" Location was great... We caught trout out back and in surrounding streams. Property was clean and well laid out and very relaxing and rejuvenating! Will stay here again, no question!

Incredible Stay on the Timber Coulee

Spent three days fishing and this home was perfect in every way! Very comfortable, clean and perfect for relaxing after spending the day on the river. You can literally walk out of the house and go up or downstream for as many miles you want to hike.10 out of 10.

Peaceful location

Located right on a sleepy stream. Owner provided split and dried firewood, which was a big plus. Property was exceptionally clean and the Owner thought about all the small touches that make a stay enjoyable. Great communication and you can tell the Owners take pride in their property.

Very, Very clean, so very quiet and relaxing. amenities were outstanding. Kitchen has everything you need. Plenty of clean blankets and towels. We are in our late 50"s and were so impressed with everything. Best place we have stayed at. We will be back again.

I have been coming to the Driftless for over 30 years and have stayed at all the places in the area. Timber Creek is my top of list! Kimberly has thought of everything and the place is fresh and immaculate. Great value for the price.

Great location!

The house was nice. Everything clean ans well supplied. The highlights were definitely fires next to the creek, gorgeous sunsets, and cooling off in the swimming hole down the road a little bit. My phone didn’t get data or reception to make calls, but the wifi in the house worked great.

Serene getaway

You can't beat the peaceful location of this rental. From the babbling brook beside the house to the rolling hills surrounding the valley this place is postcard perfect. The house was very clean and all basic amenities are supplied. The fire pit complete with cut wood was an added bonus. We spend several days fly fishing for trout, and although are success was limited, it was an experience worth taking. 5*s, would stay again.

We were looking for comfort and accessibility (we are seniors) and this place was perfect and had all the amenities. Perfect spot - great property

This spot is great! Really good fishing right out back. It’s wonderful to wake up and just walk out, or get some fishing in after dinner without having to drive anywhere. Beds really comfortable, had everything we needed to make meals, and gorgeous views out back. It’s about 20-25 minutes into Viroqua. Kimberly was super responsive and helpful. My dad said that this is the spot when we come back to this area.

Excellent views of nature in the Coulee

This is one of the best stays we have had at a VRBO in the Dirftless Area of Wisconsin! The cabin is exceptionally welcoming and clean. Furnishing is comfortable and not cluttered and the kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. I was impressed that we didn't have to drive miles to pick up any items that we might have forgotten to bring with us. There are even sharp knives and various necessary utensils that cooking a good meal requires! Plus, there is a grill right outside the kitchen door. So many times a listing states that the kitchen is well appointed when it is not. Also, the garage was a plus as the outdoor temperature dropped during our stay. The view of the creek and valley is so relaxing that there is no need to worry about having an "unplugged" stay! We really felt like we are rested and refreshed after staying at Timber Coulee Creek Cabin!

Slice of heaven

Comfortable, clean, accommodating… pretty much perfect place to stay. Close to great fishing (some right in property). The hosts were very quick to address my questions. Overall great place. Would definitely return.
